Holy smokes Batman, I think I've just found the best Cantonese restaurant in SP! This place is chaotic, as a matter of fact, they actually have couple locations (one across the other on the same street), apparently one for large groups like weddings and special occasions and the other is a regular dining room.
The menu is extensive and 98% of it all in Cantonese! The 2% or less is for western items, like SS chicken and things like that, if you want to try real authentic Cantonese food, you better speak Cantonese or take someone that can along. Came here on a Saturday night and both locations were packed, and there were only Asians, which is a great sign for restaurants when it comes to Asian restaurants.
What did I eat? Glad you asked...
Shark fin soup
White water clams with black bean sauce
Stir fried asparagus with lap cheong
Fresh jumbo prawns with garlic
Steamed fish in garlic, ginger, soy
Wild Chinese mushrooms
Fried shrimp balls
Chowfun
Sizzling beef with Chinese vegetables
Roast duck
Haianese Chicken
Eveything was amazing! Service staff was very nice and polite, really felt like dining somewhere with a large Chinese population cities, like NY, SF or even Soho. Though, remember what I'd said, either you speak Cantonese or take someone along that can, it can be intimidating and a bit stressful if you don't (waitresses do not speak Portuguese), plus, if SS (sweet and sour), sesame chicken, kungpao chicken, is Chinese food for you, this place is NOT for you. read more
