My friend's son wanted an escape room experience for his 11th birthday party so I contacted Chamber Escapes. We opted for the Haunted Pirate Ship. This is not a franchise...it is a privately owned escape room with tons of puzzles. Todd was wonderful! He communicated via Walkie Talkie and offered hints as needed but never gave us the answer and let the kids solve the puzzles. It was so much fun. He also offered us the use of the Party Room next door for pizza and cake both before and after the party. It had karaoke, lighting, a Wii, and a stage. The boys had a great time *trying* to sing some Michael Jackson tunes. Thank you Todd for a wonderful experience. My friend's son is still talking about what a great time he had and he is looking forward to returning for the Sherlock Holmes room! read more

This was my first time taking part in an escape room. There were four of us in our party and they grouped us with four others. They told us to be there at 7:45pm for our 8pm reservation. They were running behind and we didn't start until 8:50pm! That was annoying considering how adamant they were in their emails saying to come early so they could prepare us for our 8pm start time. You wait in a separate room. They had fresh popped popcorn which was nice. When they are ready for you they have you move to another room. Both waiting areas are nicely decorated. This is when the owner explains the process. He then escorts you to the room and your time begins. Throughout the adventure he talks to you over a walkie talkie and offers advice. He said he develops all the clues himself. The owner and his sister were nice. You need to book in advance because he does get booked. There is parking in the attached lot, however, some spaces are reserved for the church next door. Overall, it was a fun time. Make sure you get a groupon to save money. The others in our group had done 8 other escape rooms and said this one was just "Okay". Since I haven't done it before, I have no comparison. read more

My friends surprised me with a trip to this place for my birthday and it was such an amazing experience. I was greeted by a personalized sign at the front and white glove service. The people there are fantastic and the quest was fun and really challenging. I can't wait to go back and try another room. Highly recommend it! read more

Chamber Escapes - Escape Games Near Me - Oakland Park, Florida

Booked Chamber Escape for my son's 12 birthday party. Great "party" room next door. Perfect place for kids to sing on stage and just be kids. Things did run off time, I think it may be a common problem, but really due to the group before us being late, and then destroying the Escape room. Todd was so friendly and helpful throughout the process. The kids (and their mom) had a great time. Fun, exciting, and definitely worth the money. I did see a group-on after the fact, so you may want to look for that first. Perfect for tween event, but would be fun for adults too. read more

Based on another Yelp review we booked the Haunted Shipwreck room for my son's 12th birthday. Having never done an escape room we didn't know what to expect. I can't remember ever having so much fun! The puzzles were challenging but not so much that the boys couldn't figure them out. They got so excited every time they solved one read more

When my mom was coming in to town last month she requested that we do an "Escape Room". Naturally I turned to Groupon and Living Social and found a coupon for Chamber Escpaes, which was easy to book online, and in our area. I will admit, that since I'd done 2 different escape rooms before I had some preconceived notations, so it's best to keep an open mind. We arrived a little early for our appt and Todd graciously welcomed us and explained how it would all work. TL;DR - This room is hard. Harder than the other's I'd done, but yet, not impossible because there are "signs" to indicate whether or not you're going in the right direction. Ok, it's hard to really give you too much info without giving it all away. So let's just summarize by saying we had a good time. Owner Todd makes this place come alive with his character and charm!! Looking forward to trying his upcoming room! read more

BEST BIRTHDAY EVER! I brought my 10 girls friends here before we all went to dinner, and we had the absolute BEST time! We absolutely loved the escape room theme and the clues were super challenging but with only 4 seconds left to go we got through! Todd is absolutely wonderful. We brought wine and cheese and had a "pre-party" in the side room and then he guided us through the room. It was a great event for pre-dinner because by the time we went to dinner, we were all laughing and having a great time together! Can't wait to do it again! read more

Had a fantastic time with our family tonight. Ages 7-70 and we all had fun! Todd was so wonderful from booking all the way through the end. He explained things very well and the room was tough with lots of great puzzles! Highly recommend for first timers or people who have done these rooms before. Will definitely go back for his other room! read more

Chamber Escapes - Escape Games Near Me - Oakland Park, Florida

I've done two other rooms, and they all have their own puzzle-style. What sets this place apart is the owner; he was warm, welcoming, and fun. We had a team of four go in, and two of us had done rooms before, so we had a solid mix of players. The room had a number of puzzle-types, mixes of searches, and ... well, I shouldn't tell you any more. Still, a great experience, and looking forward to their next room! read more

Went with a group of five last week and this place is awesome! My friends and I had a great time! The owner was super cool and gave us a great experience. Thete is even a room you can rent with karaoke which we played around in till it was our time to go. Lots of laughs! Unlike any other escape room! read more

We've never done an escape challenge before. It definitely tests your team skills in a relationship. The puzzles were challenging, engaging and intense... and Todd was super helpful. We made it and we'll be back. read more

Chamber Escapes - We made it! - Escape Games Near Me - Oakland Park, Florida

I highly recommend this escape room. The owner/operator Todd was friendly and professional, and made the experience very positive. A great experience overall! Positive: Over 20+ puzzles, friendly staff Improvements: Perhaps cut down on the number of puzzles and give less clues. read more

We visited this place for my cousin's birthday and it was my first experience with an Escape Room concept. I had a blast!. The theme was good, thought and detail went into the decoration of the room. Staff is very friendly. Its an hour that is going to fly by. Waiting for the new room to open. read more

Amazing room. Puzzles were not easy, nor too difficult. The guy was super friendly. The room was amazingly themed. Can't wait for the new rooms!!!! If you like escape rooms, you'll love this. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! read more

Had a blast! Went for a date and got paired with strangers, which wasn't awkward at all. The staff is super fun and engaging which made the experience even better. Totally recommend! read more

Had a ton of fun with a group of 11. It was dark, chaotic, fast paced, and a great time. Our group beat the hour time limit by 30 secs and didn't even need the minute bonus we won. This was a great time for those looking for team building, something different than the normal night out, or a mental challenge. While some of the clues do stump you, the game maker did somewhat help or lead you, but never gives the answer. It is COMPLETELY worth the $22! read more

We came as an office and it was great to work as a team on something outside of the office! Todd was great and our group had so much fun, made it out with 5 seconds to spare! read more

This was my 3rd escape room. This was by far the most challenging and fun one! Todd is wonderful and gave each of us a nickname for the event. I was Lychee because apparently I reminded him of a friend of his from Hawaii :P We escaped with 2:30 left. I would highly recommended this Escape. read more

I was amazed by this place. The owner and staff were very friendly and informative. My friends and I had a lot of fun! The level of details make this place stands out. I highly recommend this place and have plans to go back to check out the other rooms! read more

This was my first escape room, and we had a blast! Went with a group of 7 for my birthday. I believe the room holds 10 but with 7 it was pretty crowded. Todd, the owner, is warm and welcoming. The puzzles were fun and everyone contributed to solving them, so we made it out with 7 minutes to spare! He communicates via walkie talkie, which is helpful for newbies like us. He helps keep you on track but it's up to you to solve the puzzles. I would love to go back. We had a Groupon, which made it super affordable. If you never done an escape room before, I highly recommend trying it. This was a great first time experience. I'll try to update with a comparison review if I can coerce my friends to try another place. :) read more

Awesome experience. I went with 3 friends and we got paired with another group of 4 to play together. The owners were very welcoming and had a lot of enthusiasm. I can't share too many details since I don't want to spoil the experience for others. All I can say is that we all had a great time and would highly recommend this room escape to everyone. read more

Went to Florida for 40th bday girls weekend, 5 of us went late on a Sunday night and had a great time - no one in our group had ever done anything like this before so didn't know exactly what to expect but we all really enjoyed it. Todd was great, still wonder if he gave us more hints than an average group but we made it out just in time. Hoping the other room options are open to try the next time we are in town :) read more

This was the first time my family and I had ever done an escape room and I gotta say it was exceptional. Todd provided us with great service and made us feel welcome. He was extremely patient in teaching us how to play and was great in guiding us if we got stuck during the escape. The puzzles were extremely fun to solve and you can tell the room was created with a lot of detail. We will for sure be coming back! I highly recommend this for any occasion. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service! My group had booked a July 4the date online. Next day we get a call saying that they had to cancel because there is too much traffic in the area on July 4th so they are closing for the day, after my group of 7 working adults had already made plans for this outing. We proceed to hear out his options which were for July 3rd 8 PM and 9:30 PM. We choose 9:30 tentatively as we try and get the entire group on board. Turns out the 8PM fits better into everyone's schedule. We call him back later to try and book the 8PM and its taken, so he rushes us off the phone saying he's in the middle of the game and for us to call him back in 30 minutes to try and figure out what he can do for us. In those 30 minutes we speak to the entire group again and decide better to just leave the 9:30 PM reservation that we have. So we did not call back. July 3rd rolls around and he canceled our 9:30 PM time with out so much as a call back to confirm anything. When we tried to explain our end of the story to the owner he said "it was our fault for not calling back!!" ... How can a reservation be canceled without confirming with the customer after you just rushed us off the phone???!!! And proceeds to tell us that he wasn't going to make any money off of our group because we had paid for a Groupon!! How do you tell a customer that???!!!! Absolutely terrible experience. read more

Such a great experience! Other escape rooms have been great but this one adds so much more. The owner is great and we had a blast!

Awesome escape room, I've done about 10 escape rooms, and this one is at the top of my list of fun! Owner is wonderful and is very interactive with the escape. This escape room is original and unlike other escape rooms. read more

This was the first escape room I'd been to. Went with a group of 8, used their Groupon. The host was very friendly, explained everything clearly to us and answered all questions we had since we were all first timers. He explained the different types of escape rooms and a little about the history of escape rooms. Was a great experience and the entire group had fun. Needless to say, we were able to escape with a few minutes to spare. Before we left, he did tell us he has other escape scenarios that are harder if we wanted to come again. All around a great experience. read more
