I like that the tuition is lower than ISU, but it gets hiked up $5 per credit hour every semester…read more I like the general education professors and advisors, a few of them go above and beyond to help students, even with personal problems. My major issue is the school of nursing. Why are the pass rates so dismal? Why are the nursing courses at a community college 10X harder than those at a respected university like ISU? The course content and testing policies need re-evaluated, most of the content tested isn't relevant upon entry into the field.

It was my first swim meet to watch and I got to see the swim building. I have to admit the swim area is quite nice. Watching felt comfortable and seemed to be very nice. The swim building actually blended in to the overall campus architecture. I watched the meet and it lasted around 3 hours. There is no coat to attend the swim competitions. One drawback is the only food onsite is three vending machines on the first floor. There is nearby parking but I missed it as I had no idea which part of the building to go in so I ended up parking on a nearby street only to realize as I walked around the building.

Although there were several foster care people, nursing students and teachers in the class I signed…read moreup for during the day on a Wednesday, I am simply a regular person wanting to take a CPR class. Terre Haute CPR and Sue (the main person I spoke to on the phone at first and then was teaching the class as well) were easy to work with from registration to on hands in their classroom setting. She was welcoming and very knowledgable. The class covered about an hour of medical emergency situation and then the second hour covered CPR. The building is easy to find (park in back), you can register in advance or pay cash upon arrival, they have a comfortable classroom and desk setting and things ran on time. Sue indicated that they have been in business for maybe five years if I remember correctly and they offer different classes on different days (day and night) to accommodate many schedules.

My friend was attending…read moreschool here so I visited the area and was truly impressed..I visited several classes while there and was immensely impressed by the quality of instructors. They really knew their students, and made their lectures alive and entertaining and totally informative. I was really impressed that the instructor knew each student by name, even though he had such a large classroom. I highly tecvomend you check out this campus. A fabulous school.

I know they have had some success in basketball this year and, other years in the past, and a nice mid-level university
