WARNING: Lost coat check ticket = hours in freezing cold with no alternatives…read moreI lost my coat check ticket at Cassiopeia last night. My jacket contained my wallet, ID, and house keys - everything I needed to get home. I immediately went to coat check and explained the situation. I offered to: Describe my jacket in detail Describe everything inside it (including my ID) Show identification through other means Wait inside the venue until 5 AM when they do returns The staff refused all of these options. Their only response: "Come back at 5 AM" or "Come back Monday." When I explained I literally could not go home without my keys and had no money without my wallet, they called security and forced me to leave the club entirely. I was not aggressive, not drunk, not causing any problems - I was a paying customer calmly trying to solve a problem. I was forced to wait outside in 0°C temperatures for hours without a jacket, unable to go anywhere else because all my belongings were locked inside. The issue: Lost coat check tickets happen constantly at every venue. Most clubs have reasonable procedures: verification through ID, jacket description, security deposit, or at minimum letting you wait inside until closing. Cassiopeia's policy is: lose your ticket = you're ejected into the cold with zero alternatives, even if your house keys and wallet are in there. This isn't just bad customer service - it's a safety issue. If you're going here, photograph your coat check ticket or you may end up locked out in freezing temperatures.

The beer garden is quite literally in a blown up building area where trees provide shade and during the evening are lit up with colored mood lighting. The graffiti gives the area's walls character and are sometimes nice to look at and admire. They have several beers on tap or in the fridge. They use a deposit/return glass scheme where they hand you a button/pin for a euro that you'll have returned once you come back with your empty glass. In my case it's normally exchanged right back for another beer. The spot has themed nights such as disco events and fun international music. As an American, the open consumption laws are very freeing and makes for a very relaxed experience. The staff speaks fluent English but will bear with your as you struggle in broken German.

Maybe she was trying to screen people who responded EDM? This place is pretty small. Basically one room, and a bar to the side. No outdoor space when we went (weather). Also, there's no interesting features inside. The music was a little like Prodigy at times. It was pretty hard, even by Berlin standards. Cover was 8 euros on Thursday. Goes all the way till 9am.

If you're new to the Berlin nightlife​ this club is probably a good choice! The cover​ is moderate, interior very crafty, bouncers not necessarily​ friendly but definitely not rude or arrogant(!). He grabbed my shoulder with full force and pushed me off the platform. When I told him it hurt, he made a mocking sad face and then waved his had bye-bye. I will never come here when I'm in Berlin again. Also, it will be good to note that I tried to take a picture of the DJ, but the bouncers kicked me out right away.

Gotta love Nina Queer, gotta love Germany's Next Top Model and (German classic) Tatort Public Viewing and go crave for the Glamourquiz! Just keep in mind NOT to argue with Nina... unless you fancy public humiliation. Hehe. Oh also, if you show your man or lady bits on the little stage, don't worry about drinks for the night - you'll get them for free! We went around once or twice and she dropped me off from whence we came. She said at the end you're right, you aren't a good couples dancer.

good soundsystem, good space, good location…read more bad public, bad staff, bad booking. for friedrichshain, prices are quite pricey. this club had (when it reopened a few years back) the potential to be a great rival to the smaller mitte clubs. it looked good, the music was alright, and the soundsystem and lights were great for such a small space. unfortunately it ended up attracting a young, suburban, wannabe ghetto faction. the fake thugs of the techno/electro world. and due to this, its cache of cool reduced and reduced over time. the last time i was there with a friend who was playing, one of the turntables had a bad needle, and there was no one on the staff who could get a new one. thats an easy problem that should easily be fixed. i hope sometime in the future it gets taken over again, and somehow makes a comeback.

The price is always right. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the people who work there and go there are lovely folks. Although the shows are earlier than most venues, it's nice to have some kind of consistency to rely upon. Keep supporting this place because it does a lot of good things for Berlin music.

But the beast would not work otherwise, the atmosphere is required as it is.

I didn't make it out to the patio or side lounge, but I did dance my heart out of everything from The Cure, London after midnight, she past away, boy harsher, the Bolshoi... Classics from every decade represented! And wow... They make incredible Moscow mules, which is something I would have never expected! Maybe they were too good? I totally didn't plan to drink that many. *Lol* But going back to the crowd ... I loved the come as you are vibe -- the complete opposite of the gotther than thou snottery in Barcelona! Ppl were wearing all kinds of different things, just being themselves and having a great time... Ages 18 to maybe even 60+! I wish there was a place like this where I live so I can grow old livin' my best life, too
