It wasn't very crowded when I visited around 1:00pm, and the store was clean, well organized, and offered a great selection of books along with puzzles, games, and other gift items, which made browsing enjoyable. The restroom area felt very bare and minimalist, and there were no paper towels available at the time, so there wasn't a way to dry your hands. One nice touch was the Starbucks located inside the store, which looked clean and inviting, even though I didn't make a purchase. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would definitely return.

Newsboy Books has what I wanted. I bought a copy of the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the Los Angeles Times. It was such a great selection. While I was at it, I also got a look at their books. It's a mixture of used and new copies. The prices range and they usually aren't discounted, but still cheaper compared to those of Barnes & Noble. The employee up front was very friendly and kind. I had called her beforehand to ask if they had sold newspapers and they answered the phone in good time. She was lovely when I arrived and we had a nice small conversation at check out. I know where I'm going to get newspapers from now on, even if it's a bit of a drive from where I live.

I recently bought a copy of the shining for a dollar, the book is in great condition! They also sell things like stickers and incense, which is a really nice touch! I have quite a few of their high-quality stickers on both my phone and my computer, as well as my sketchbook! The ambience is absolutely lovely, hot tea, fireplaces, and comfortable chairs make the store feel so homey and comforting! They also host many events there, especially for the witch and Pagan community up here, which I really appreciate! I go to almost every single one and it is always lovely! Hardcovers are now $6 and paperbacks $4, which is more than at a general thrift store but then again this nonprofit has a good cause (sending free books to prisons) and a better selection. What used to be the $1 shelf outside the front entrance is the donation shelf where you pay what you can. Hopefully that'll actually make people more generous. In any case, I'm just so glad there are people who still read!!! ;)

They accept only paperback books (dictionaries, Spanish language, fiction, non fiction) and you can easily drop them off during their business hours. It was great to see that the bookstore had high foot traffic. Parking was quite limited, perhaps due to being Valentine's Day and it was definitely busy in the Packing house area.
