Seriously negligent We've recently bought a share of a flat, and we did receive several letters from the HMRC letting us know that our stamp duty was not payed. Chadwick Lawrence did not pay for our stamp duty, even though we did transfer them the money before the purchase took place. After more than 4 months of dealing with long email chains and endless calls with the HMRC, Chadwick Lawrence claim they have solved the problem. Yet I still don't have a written confirmation from the HMRC that they have paid my stamp duty. I'm now claiming for a refund due to their negligent service but I have to go through an endless complaint procedure in order to do so. The worst company, they lie and trick vulnerable people about fees and lie about terms and conditions PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS POND LIFE OF A COMPANY, they lie about fees and then take vulnerable people to court after they have tricked and lied to them about costs.
