Last week, I dropped off very valuable, pertinent information to be on display at the front desk. I was advised that the director would have to review before putting on display. No problem with that. A couple of days later, I was advised by the director that she could not do so. She did not give me a good reason for not doing so. She did give me the documents back and gave me the names of the board members of the Chadron Public Library who I was advised had their offices were located at the same address as this library. I did not have time to speak with them on a personal level. I did state that was an act of discrimination, First Amendment violations under the Freedom Of The Press, and Civil Rights violations. She, the director, does not know what she is doing and has a biased-opinion. She goes along to get along. Other than that never had a problem with the Director of Chadron Public Library up until this point. No problems with other employees there, usually friendly and helpful. This review is mainly in review of the Director of this library at this point and NOT the employees of the library that work there daily. read more
