I was scheduled for a test, but ended up in the ER of another hospital that morning, so I had to cancel the test. That was my first mistake. The second mistake was to ask to reschedule the test. After 15 phone calls, it became obvious that rescheduling upsets them to no end and they are under no obligation to help those who cancel tests. My children and I tend to get sick in the middle of the night (of course) so when we arrive there is no one else waiting in triage. After being asked at the front desk for my name, I am taken immediately back into the ED. The nurses and doctors have always been very kind, responsive and fast. I probably should have taken my infant daughter to Children's when she needed IV fluids but this was closer and they did just fine. Overall a really nice option for community care. read more

The other reviews who gave negative ratings about this hospital and it's staff are either delusion, lying, drug addicts, or have the wrong address. I was taken to this hospital for an inflamed appendix that nearly killed me. I was treated by everyone with professionalism, humanity, respect and humor. Not one person, from the ambulance drivers to the nurses to the doctors to the technicians was rude. Anyone who says the nurses are rude is mistaken. It is those kinds of patients who are rude. I have never encountered rude or unprofessional people at this location. The hospital is not dirty. I used several bathrooms and they were sparkling. Every room was clean and well-lit. The people who had issue with this location sound like the type of people who have problems everywhere they go. Don't blame this lovely place simply because you are a terrible human being. read more

Within five minutes of checking in, they took me to a room. I saw the first person to assess my condition within another five minutes. Awesome so far right? But that's when it went down hill. They had me wait 45 minutes until the registration lady would even come by. And she was eager for me to pay right then and there. I had insurance, so I said to Bill me was fine. No I'm not handing you cash right now. Then finally a nurse came. She wanted to see test results which would be ready in five and told me I would be out of there in ten minutes tops. After another hour passes by, I said something, and they informed me they were very busy and would see me soon. After another 30 minutes I just left. To be that understaff in an emergency room is just poor quality of service. I don't recommend going here. It's not THAT bad of an hospital. I've been to this hospital a lot. If your condition is serious they will be very fast when serving you. Some of the nurses are sweethearts, others not so much. Good doctors. My only real complaint is how long it takes to check out. It literally takes FOREVER. Hospitals do what they can especially low budget ones. Give them a break. read more

If you need to walk in for an emergency at this hospital, please go somewhere else. Sometimes the waiting area is empty and it feels like nobody is there but still the waiting time is about one hour before a doctor can see you. Its a joke. read more

The worse hospital ever I would not recommend anyone to go there, they treat u like ur not in pain and all they want to do is send u home as quick as possible. Not interested in resolving the issue. Terrible hospital, I would not recommend this at all. I wouldn't come here if it were the last hospital on earth. The Doctor's take hours to come back with results. I am in the ICU right now as I write this. They treated me for something I didn't have any business getting treated on and they talk to you like you don't know anything. This nurse literally opened the curtain so everybody in the ICU could see me with my briefs around my feet wiping myself. She barged in while i was doing #2 and made a huge scene because she didn't want me to flush paper towels down the toilet. I reported it to the Nurse Supervisor and she talked to me making it seem like it wasn't a big deal as if it wasn't a COMPLETE violation of privacy. They also were messing with my blood sugar levels and trying to act like they weren't the reason why my blood sugar levels weren't stable. They told me that I could be released if I ate to control my blood sugar levels yet they injected me with a medication that made me nauseous and bloated so I couldn't eat. On top of that I have numerous bite marks and my gf killed a spider that was literally about to crawl on me when I was laying down. To summarize it, the staff doesn't respect privacy nor what you have to say and slickly make you sick on purpose so you could stay longer so they could make more money off you. read more

Unfortunately I have since been back to this ER twice and both times the experiences were miserable. I don't know if it was because I am going in at night but the place was packed with drunks and and people who clearly had issues that were not just physical. The wait seemed like it took forever, the doc was half asleep and harried and the staff surly, to put it kindly. read more

I'd give this place a negative star if I could. First off, I went here cause I was having some pregnancy complications and they were the closest place. They had me wait in the emergency room for over a hour. Meanwhile when you check there website it said waiting time was only 15mins. When I finally was seen... 3 hours later ...so I thought they put me in a freezing cold room didnt tell me to sit, stand or lay I took it upon myself to just lay down. There was clearly something wrong with me because I was shivering dang near out of my skin and out the bed. Multiply doctor's, nurses, and cna's were around not doing anything laughing having random non important conversation NOT ever asking me if I was ok... maybe a blanket... NOTHING it took a phlebotomist walking by with syringes and needles to stop turn around and ask me if I needed a blanket. She apologized for her co-workers negligence. When the doctor finally graced me with his presents he had NO bedside matter and truly didn't care. Needless to say after wasting three hours of my life I left that emergency room and went to another emergency room NEVER AGAIN... My friend also went there for what she was told was athletes foot.. they sent her away limping and crying with a 400mg rx of ibuprofen the next day the pain was even worse for her she went to her doctor and was diagnosed with something entirely different. Within hours pain was gone and she's back to normal again moral of the story DO NOT GO HERE.... read more

I've had a few experiences at this hospital. I brought a sick friend to the ER because they tend to be fast and competent, and recently I had to come here for myself. To make a long story short, I had to come to the ER due to severe throat pain. I have had thyroid issues in the past and sometimes the pain is extreme. The dr who saw me in the ER was, to be blunt, a bad doctor. She came to see me and I explained how I had been to my dr but was in extreme pain and the meds weren't working, and she told me to go home. I was like "are u serious? Are you telling me to just go home? I don't normally have my head tilted to the side with the inability to talk. I want an X-ray because I have had thyroid problems before that felt just like this" and the dr says "we don't treat thyroid issues in the ER we can just manage the pain so you should go home and follow your drs orders" she had the attitude like she couldnt be bothered by me and that i was wasting her time, and i said i wasnt there to have my thyroid fixed but that i was in extreme pain and to start helping me and start managing my pain instead of telling me to go home. The dr then says "what did u expect by coming here?" To which which i reply "some courtesy and professionalism I've never met a doctor like you" she then excused herself and said she could send me home with a prescription for percocets, but I wanted an X-ray to rule out a calcification, which I had had before, which an X-ray diagnosed. The dr then tried to "educate" me by informing me that X-rays increase the risk of cancer and they can't tell what's wrong with my thyroid with an X-ray. I told her about my previous experience with an X-ray being extremely helpful and she continued with her condescending tone until I cut her off and told her to stop trying to scare me out of there because she's busy and not wanting to do her job. I left that night with an X-ray and a prescription, but had to go back the next night because I had developed a large throat abscess and had to be admitted. So I was admitted and had to be put under to have the abscess drained. While staying at the hospital, the staff was, to be polite, inattentive. The biggest issue I had was with house keeping. I had surgery Friday night, and was woken up all night long by the extremely loud IV machine alarms that are constantly going off. Later Saturday I was able to get up and move around and I asked house keeping if she could change the linens because they still had surgery dye on them and were overall dirty from the operation and my draining wounds. The housekeeper told me no she wouldn't change my room because when she offered in the morning I declined, and that she had to have dinner, and take care of TEN other patients on the floor. I said fine and asked her for the linens and changed everything myself while still attached to the IV machine. I thought I came to a hospital but the way I was being treated it's what I imagine a drug rehab facility to be like. I just couldn't believe the attitudes of the ER doctor, then the housekeeper who wouldn't clean my room because I said no while still recovering from surgery. Another grievance is that when I asked for a medication I was supposed to have, the nurse said it wasn't even on file and...that's it. Later on after shift change, surprise, the medication was available, so i wouldnt be surprised if the nurses are taking patients PRNs and expecting them not to do anything about it.I would give this place one star but the doctor I saw was great as was everyone in the operating room and MOST of the nurses. Just not the environment and lack of professionalism I would expect with a hospital associated with tufts/Harvard, more like a hospital id find in mid state Maine. If I ever need to go to the ER or hospital again ill skip this place and gladly wait in Boston for some legitimate treatment. read more
