CGU INSURANCE I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My vehicle was involved in a collision in 2005 and I'm still trying to have it fixed as the lady that was insured with CGU failed to give way with a tram (trolly) that collided with my parked vehicle, I had to appoint a lawyer just to get my vehicle inspected by their assessor (CGU INSURANCE ASSESSOR). CGU recon that they sent me a cheque, never received, now they say that because I haven't cashed the cheque it has become unclaimed moneys and the government has taken it, I can't see how it can be unclaimed when I never received it or cashed the cheque, as a result it would still be in CGU Insurances account not the governments. Now they don't answer their office phone that they gave me, so I phoned CGU call centre and they tried to put me through to the CGU Insurance team that is appointed to the clam Can't get through they took my ph number and they haven't ph me back. Now I have to get an insurance ombudsman to deal with CGU, what a headache. So Yelpers I DO NOT RECOMEND CGU INSURANCE AT ALL Now I make sure all my vehicles insurance is up to date & current. DO NOT INSURE WITH CGU. We had our property insured for many years without a claim, when we had storm damage three weeks ago when we had gale force winds, we lost the ceiling in our garage. They claimed it was not storm damage and therefore they would not uphold the claim. We are glad it was only a small claim so get out of your policy now if you have one and insure with a more reputable Company. read more
