Wish i could give them a minus zero rating. Second time of using them - second time having problems but definitely the last. The first time they replaced an iPad screen which cracked two days after they repaired it. Reluctantly paid for another screen which was obviousky again of poor quality as it broke again within 1 week. New iPad purchased. Fool that I am, I returned to them a second time with laptop issues, explaining the urgency of the repair and requesting it back asap for business purposes. I asked to be contacted asap. 4 days later I received a text message asking ME to call THEM?? Spoke to Chris and a repair price was agreed - I again reiterated the urgency of the repair. 5 days later no communication received so telephoned for an update. Again, spoke to Chris who said he will speak with the engineer and call me back. 20 minutes later I'm still waiting for a call back so telephone again. This time Chris informs me he doesn't know if it has been fixed. I reply to Chris that I had made him aware of the repair urgency and should my computer not already be repaired could it be returned to the shop asap so I can take it somewhere else that would be able to repair it urgently. Chris said he would again speak to the engineer. 7 minutes later, I receive a call from someone called IAN who began verbally abusing me, called me demanding and patronising simply for asking if they could arrange for my laptop to be returned to their shop sooner in the day rather than later to prevent another day being wasted waiting for it to be repaired, which I understand to be a reasonable request. Was told by IAN my laptop would be returned "whenever it was" as he was not prepared to speak to the engineer regarding the swift return of my property as the engineer was self employed and he could not force him to do anything. IAN aggressively stated I had paid nothing for the repair and I was not actually a customer (even though my computer was being retained by his shop for which I was given a customer recepit?). Funnily enough, when my husband called the number IAN had telephoned from with underlying anger and hostility (0121 448 9193), IAN did not pick up the phone? IAN will be well aware he and CG Computers are individually and jointly in breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and a complaint shall be immediately made. A complaint will also be lodged with The Ombudsman Association and I am certain when enquiries are made by them, IAN will be refrain from verbally abusing them. read more
