Great Cigars and beer.
Thumper E.

My sister and I decided to go smoke a cigar and drown our sorrows at the Giants loss at Petco Park. So we walked to the gas lamp district and went to Cesar's. Upon walking in we noticed the Ambiance right away. Super relaxed and an amazing humidor. We were met by a really nice guy named Dennis. He answered questions and gave us recommendations. The prices and selection were great. Try the Yeti extra stout it was phenomenal. Everyone in the place as well as the other guy working (I'm sorry I didn't catch his name) made us feel really welcome. We were still in Giants gear. There was NOTHING pretentious about this place just great cigars and great staff. They even gave us all the free cigar boxes we could carry. And this amazing cookie from insomnia Cookies from across the street. Dennis could see right away when we arrived we were tired from the walk from Petco he filled up my water bottle first thing. The seating was really comfortable as well. Every thing about the experience was top notch. If you want a great cigar and meet cool people try this place.

Was in town for a conference last week and wanted to have a post dinner Stogie. Found Caesars through the Yelp app and stopped by. This is a corner store location with outdoor fenced seating. Walking in you will enter a small lounge area followed by a long bar then Humidor. I proceeded to pick my stick. Humidor was ok, Stogie prices are typically higher in California due to taxes. Double higher since in gas lamp. Didn't find what I wanted so picked a La Aroma de Cuba medium to full body. It scratched my itch and had a basil Hayden bourdon very over priced but made good pairing to enhance the flavors. Overall give 3.5 stars. This was basically a bar with a mini cigar lounge and sadly not vice versa. To conclude, I'll quote what my friend Julio says "Es ok".

This establishment has a very good selections of cigars. The prices are a little high but that comes with the location and service. Great place! Will be back!

Place is Awesome All kinds of Sticks to choose from just a little on the High Side for the top shelf ones Two Drinks and two Sticks. $150 Totally a Fun experience!

Dani is the best bartender in gaslamp. The espresso martinis are a MUST!!! Dani is the absolute best! Cesar's is lucky to have her

KAILEY is the best bartender downtown hands down.....extensive knowledge on cigars and cocktails and great customer service definitely needs a raise!

Good times!

These and Nika from the barrel. Jacob the host was so knowledgeable and friendly. Come to this place and you will feel like an insider! Good times!

Great sticks and comfortable seating. Whiskey selection is top notch highly recommended, grabbing a stick and a pur of your favorite whiskey.

Headed downtown early to check out a cigar lounge before our dinner reservations at Lumi. I was reluctant to go here due to some negative reviews I read about how small it is and bad service and attitude. Reminded myself that you can't make everyone happy and there's always going to be SOMEONE complaining about SOMETHING. So we went... SO GLAD WE DID! As soon as we walked into the lounge, the gals behind the bar, Elisa and I can't remember the other amazing girl's name, greeted us with smiles and jubilations as if we've always been coming there. Right away, I felt good vibes, felt like I was amongst friends and we ordered our drinks. My Old Fashioned was AMAZING by the way! I asked the bartender if she could add dirty cherries and some cherry juice. She obliged and it was perfect. We brought our own cigars with us and Elisa offered to cut them and asked if we needed a light. We told her we had em cut and had a lighter. She joked and asked if we wanted to do her job for her then haha. She showed us outside, brought us our ash tray and was attentive and hilarious and super warm and welcoming. Some of the negative reviews I read were about prices of the drinks. I don't know where the people were visiting from but I've been to Iowa before and was floored when I ordered 6 drinks and it came to $24. I'm used to paying $24 a drink in some places! No, drinks aren't cheap but I've paid more in Vegas also. You're downtown. If you want bargain prices, don't order top shelf downtown. Other complaint was the steep prices of the cigars and that they were a rip off. That's standard, too. To see higher prices than what you'd see online. I personally buy online and am a member of a cigar club because I want quality PLUS value. However, if I'm going to a cigar lounge in downtown San Diego, no less, I'm prepared to pay more than $14 a stick. Lol. Anyhoo...glad I went. Hubby loved it too. Great, comfy, casual, welcoming, cozy atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great place to sip your drink, puff away and enjoy some good ole downtown people watching. We'll be back!!

Ryan K.

Buyer beware, whilst this is a great location and convenient, the prices are absolutely ridiculous. $44 for a Padron 1926, not to mention the rows of empty boxes and lack of selection. I really wanted to like this place.

I was picking somebody up from the airport, and was at another cigar lounge 30 minutes north. They were closing at 9 p.m. and my buddies flight was going to be 12:30 a.m. Someone at the previous cigar lounge suggested this place, saying they're open until 12:30. Perfect. Close to the airport, I can smoke and chill (forgot Netflix!). I called first, to make sure. The guy on the phone said they were open until 12:30 but if it's not busy they close at 11. Okay, that's fine. I figured I'd go get something to eat after that. The guy at the counter was friendly enough. I bought a house stick (which was a decent smoke, even if a few bucks more than it should've been). And at 10:40 a.m. he tells me "You have 5 minutes and then we close." I didn't want to get into a big stink over it (no pun intended), but 15 minutes earlier than what I was told -- well, I don't want to toss half my cigar away (I am a cheap bast**d). So at 10:45 p.m., I stand in the cold, outside, with homeless people, and drunk frat boys, walking all around. Not the best cigar smoking vibe. If I'm back downtown, I'll give them another chance.
