We travel Europe frequently since we have family there and I believe this is one of those hidden gems. It gets you out of the city hustle and allows you to relax in the pool overlooking the olive grove and the buildings have all been redone with modern amenities even though its a medieval tower. The owners were great and spoke perfect English and pointed us to several great places to visit . One being a local castle that offers tours and wine tasting..great chianti along with several small cities to visit . Such down to earth honest people I could sit and talk all day with them. At night we had our own kitchen and cooked our dinner and had it on the patio overlooking the grove and had wine and fresh cheese til the Tuscany sunset took our breathe away.
One thing to note once you find the place you drive a bit down a gravel road twisting and turning. I loved it since I was in a rental car.
I believe there are 4 apartments and we had one on the bottom ones with windows over looking the hills. The apartment was one of the most cleanest I have ever been too, you can tell they take pride in this place. What I remember about the bed is it had white crisp sheets and had that home style to it . After a long day hiking and shopping in the city it was a pleasure to fall asleep in that country air with windows open.
After traveling to Paris,Rome and then to Florence this place by far was the most relaxing part of our vacation. The wife has already said we are going back and staying their and going to the wine tasting . Its always a hit or miss sometimes and this was a home run .
