Do not set up telemedicine offerings if you aren't capable of running it. This was a horrible experience. I called at 9:45am to make a telemedicine appointment (rang for a good 5 min before someone picked up). The appointment was set for 11:30am and I was told to fill out information on Breeze and download an app for the virtual health visit. I did everything and waited for my 11:30am appointment. By 11:45am I still had not received a link to the video call. I called the office (again, long wait for someone to pick up) and was told to wait until 12pm because the doctor could be behind. At 12pm, still no link. I called the office (again, longer than usual wait times) and it was clear the doctor I was seeing was not out of the office where the receptionist was. They told me the phone lines at the Neptune office were down, so they "sent message to the supervisor over there to let them know I was waiting." They finally sent a link but when I opened it, the loading bar spun while I waited for a provider to enter the call. No provider entered and 10 minutes passed. I called back and they tried to send another link. Again, no provider joined after 10 minutes. They tried to connect to that office and weren't getting through via phone. They said to just wait around for when the doctor would be ready and I'd get a link because at this point, the doctor has wasted enough time trying to connect with me and needed to see the in-person patients. Reluctantly, I waited because I really needed a prescription. Around 1:40pm, I received another link. Again, same issue. I called the office and finally they explained that the office where the doctor was was experiencing internet issues. They rescheduled me for 3pm with a totally different office and doctor who "is good with telemedicine and keeps her appointments on time". 3pm came and went. At 3:30pm I called and they said this doctor was running behind. By 4:15pm I was done waiting. I called a completely different practice and received an appointment AND prescription by 4:45pm. Total waste of my day and additional stress to deal with while working from home and dealing with a health issue. read more
