Understaffed and overbooked in the mornings, by the looks of it. Scheduled at 11 am on a Tuesday…read morefor an alignment and wheel replacement (winters to summers, so just swapping them out). Whole job should take two hours max. Waited around for about 4 hours. I was told that I would need 4 new tires, my summers were junk and two of my winters were as well, tie rods and a few other parts related to conducting a proper alignment. I was told all the parts were rusted out, they used a blowtorch and a pry bar and were not able to get it adjusted. So noticeably peeved and in a hurry, I took their word for it (although I really wanted to see for myself). I scheduled an appointment at Gatesman Auto body and Firestone Tire up in Erie, respectively. Went to Firestone (On Wednesday) for a second opinion and a quote on tires. They took me underneath her and there was no rust, and you could see were the squirted penetrating oil on a few of the nuts, but nothing that would indicate any trouble or severe strain on the parts from attempting to be manipulated (shiny metal, carbon from torch, damaged nuts, etc.) I inspected my summers, (now mounted on car). YES! There was severe wear on two of the tires from misalignment, the front two checked out as acceptable. The only real rust was on the tank band, but it is not a big concern at this moment. Came home and inspected the winter tires, only one out of the four should severe sings of uneven wear, all the other tires were acceptable and roughly the same ware (measured). Got a call from them on monday and was quoted for 800 dollars and some change for the job at Flynn's, This was just for the tie rods and related parts and labor and not the tires or the labor associated with mounting them. Went to Gatesman Auto Body, on Tuesday and they were able to align the car with little difficulty, but was told the tires needed replaced (same rear two). On Friday, back to Firestone got my tires and they did an alignment, again no problems. So two shops, more than two hours apart did the same job, with little difficulty, reached the same conclusions (bad tires, worn brakes), and did not need to replace ANY PARTS! I spent less time TOTAL waiting on my car at these two shops combined than I did at Flynn's. Also the parking there is terrible.
