The owner's are always warm and friendly, and they make a mean pizza, definitely the best in Mazarron. It's really relaxed during the day, a great place to stop a grab a quiet soft drink and sit out the front patio watching the sea. An interesting mix of Spanish and English decor with some cool gold discs hanging on the walls add to the muso vibe in here and more to the point they sell ice cream - which is just what you need in the hot Spanish sun!! Definitely worth a look if you're in the area as some of the bars further into the port really aren't as friendly at all, this has the best atmosphere of them all whether it's lively or relaxed that you're after, just pick your time of day! And it's a stones throw from the beach so you can have a drink and then go for a quick paddle! Lovely stuff, I'll definitely seek it out again.

My friend happened to mention that it was my birthday to the waitress and they brought my food out with a candle in it and the whole restaurant sang happy birthday to me! I think that was such a special thing to do just from a comment made to the waitress, the kind of personal touch that is very impressive! The market tavern is very highly recommended by me and I will definitely visit again!

It's a shame because the setting is beautiful, it is on the beach almost, it was run by an Irish family previously, but now it's run by English, it's just not the same, they used to have a big do St. Patricks night, with Irish Stew, but it's all different now.
