We met with them as we were considering our available realtor options and Lauren and Lisa were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. They made us feel comfortable and they were reasonable in terms of fees as well. Once we signed, they got right to work so when we were ready to list, it was a seamless process. From the photography to the various listing appointments and open houses, they worked with us and were flexible in terms of making sure our schedules matched up. We were able to get multiple offers on our home and ended up taking a great offer that met our specific needs. Lauren and Lisa checked in throughout the process and gave their honest opinions as to our options, which made us feel like we made the right choice. We never felt pressure to accept something we were not comfortable with and their advice, based on their experience, was invaluable overall. They were super helpful up through closing and have continued to reach out since to see how we are doing. I would highly recommend Lauren and her team if you are looking to sell your home and want it done without the hassle and stress that comes with it. Many thanks to Lauren and her team!

A few years ago, I talked to Jenna over the phone about an apartment that I was interested in, but ended up not taking. Two years later, my husband and I decided that it was time to purchase our first home and, by accident, I came across Jenna again! Thank goodness we did!! We started the process by meeting with Jenna and letting her know exactly what we were looking for and gave her our long list of requirements. Jenna explained the house hunting process to us and without hesitation answered the 1000 questions that we both had. My husband and I thought that it was going to take months if not years to find exactly what we were looking for! Well we were wrong!!! Within a week, we saw three houses. Each time I find a house, I called Jenna and she got us in right away. She never said no, never made any excuses, and never said that she was busy. She did everything possible to get us a showing (at our convenience). We made an offer on the third house and closed within three weeks! Jenna - we can't thank you enough for going above and beyond for us. You returned every single call, text message, and answered every ridiculous question that we had. You made this process so easy for us. Because of you, we found our dream home that fit all of our requirements. You are an absolute pleasure to work with and I am greatly looking forward to working with you again in the future. Stonybrook is blessed to have you!

I had a great experience using Stonybrook Realty and would not hesitate to recommend them.

We first spoke over the phone in February 2018 and she just seemed to get it - what we were looking for, how we wanted to go about our search, and how we wanted to go about selling our home. She was just as warm, personable, and professional when we met her in person. She is a mom too so completely understood our limitations in regards to time and childcare. Alyssa told us she started in real estate after she had a bad experience herself. We also had had a bad experience when we bought our first home. This experience was nothing like that! Alyssa was never pushy or overbearing. She was virtually always available by phone, text, or email. She was present at both of our closings (buying and selling), during our home inspection, and during our walk through on the buying side. She did several open houses when we were selling, as well as numerous showings. She is completely trustworthy and went above and beyond (she noticed we had an ant problem after we had been away on vacation and was doing an open house, so took it upon herself to place traps and fix the problem). Alyssa even gave us lovely cards and generous and thoughtful gifts when we closed on each house. And even afterwards, when we had moved in and our old house was sold, she still offered to help us by picking up mail that was accidentally delivered to our old house and delivered it to our new house! Alyssa is a top notch realtor. She is simply a lovely person who is incredibly hard working. We found our dream home thanks to her. I can not recommend her highly enough.

We started working with Alyssa in mid 2017 and as first time home buyers, we did not know anything about buying a house, where to start, what to do or what it truly entailed. Alyssa made that process so smooth and easy for us. She really zoned in on what our wants, needs, musts and desires were and sent us homes that fit that criteria. From mid 2017 - Present, we saw countless homes together. I could find a home we wanted to see and whether it was one home or 6, literally, she made arrangements for us to see based on our schedules. I cannot stress enough that she is a realtor that is on YOUR side, she is looking through the houses with you and telling you honest feedback, whether it be the condition of a hot water heater or if a home is priced more than the comparable homes in the area. She truly gets to know her clients so she can really pinpoint what is going to be a priority for them, which is truly what makes her successful. After we found the home for us, more than a year later Alyssa made the buying process so easy for us, through the offer, acceptance, inspections, attorney review, right through closing. She was there with us and available every step of the way. She helped us find a reliable and reputable attorney who advocated alongside of her for our best interests, she provided resources for companies for inspections and furthermore coordinated inspections, obtained certificates, spoke with some vendors on our behalf, basically did anything she could to help us as the buyers and make this process that is overwhelming to first time home buyers much easier. Alyssa went to the house to facilitate appointments without disrupting my time at work. She was present all all inspections, she insisted on a final walk through the day of closing to make sure all was in order for us and attended the closing with us. She was so sweet, she even showed up to closing with a card and incredibly thoughtful gift. Alyssa really goes above and beyond for her client. I would recommend you work with her if you want to receive the highest quality of service. She is not pushy, she is not calling you every day or pushing you to purchase a house you're not interested in, she wants whatever you want and wants to make sure in that you get what you deserve and do not get taken advantage of. Providing her clients honest information and feedback and ensuring they aren't getting taken advantage of is something Alyssa feels very strongly about, being that when she was house hunting personally, her real estate agent didn't provide that service to her. After encountering a number of issues, she wanted to make sure what happened to her didn't happened to anyone else. Anyone with that much passion and dedication to make a difference in others lives says a lot about the kind of person she is. Alyssa has a positive energy about her and again, has that passion. Do yourself a favor, work with someone who is working for you and you will not be disappointed she is truly great!! I loved working with her.

Working with Blue Nail was an exhausting, disappointing, and infuriating experience. Blue Nail…read morelacked professionalism, accountability, and transparency throughout. They made multiple attempts to mislead us and only followed through when faced with the possibility of legal action. Save yourself the time, money, and stress. Avoid Blue Nail at all costs. Blue Nail came recommended, so we reached out for an estimate. Early on, my father felt their team was defensive and difficult to communicate with. I didn't initially see that, so we moved forward. Our home is a Victorian farmhouse with a steep roof and a flat section where a widow's walk once existed. We wanted to restore it and initially asked them to hold off on installing EPDM in that area so we could add the posts ourselves. They declined and instead issued a change order to include the posts in their scope, which we accepted due to time constraints. After signing, we began asking about their installation method, expecting the posts to be properly framed for safety and durability. Once we started asking detailed technical questions, their demeanor noticeably shifted. Shortly thereafter, Blue Nail informed us that they intended to withdraw from the contract, citing permitting and zoning variance concerns. This was a significant red flag. It is the responsibility of any reputable contractor to verify all necessary permits and zoning requirements prior to issuing a formal proposal. We believe they had done this research but were attempting to use technical jargon to intimidate us into backing down. We investigated the variance claims ourselves and found them to be inapplicable. We confirmed with the local building department that a permit could be pulled, which we were more than willing to do. Despite all of this, Blue Nail still tried to walk away from the contract without valid justification. We were prepared for legal action after months of delays and an attempted breach of contract. Although Blue Nail eventually agreed to proceed, work didn't start until September, 4 months after our deposit. Issues: Recurring Leaks: Blue Nail had to return three times to address water intrusion in the same area--raising real concerns about long-term structural damage. As roofing contractors, your main job is to create an impervious barrier between the structure of the house and the elements. This shouldn't be an issue, let alone a recurring issue. Improper EPDM Installation: The membrane over our newly renovated bathroom was not secured to the plywood substrate. My father saw it lifting in the wind, leaving raw plywood exposed to the elements. This is an inexcusable oversight that could lead to serious water damage. We completely gut renovated this bathroom and included many layers of insulation, therefore it is hard to know if there was any immediate damage without opening up the brand new gypsum ceiling. Exterior Staircase: The debris removal process caused deep gouges and scrapes--well beyond surface damage--on our back staircase. A third-floor interior ceiling was also damaged during post installation. Cosmetic Fixes: They repainted the stairs but left a large paint stain on our concrete pad. Minor damage, but emblematic of a careless approach. Dumpster placement: the dumpster was placed on an angle in the middle of the driveway, blocking our cars in the garage making us unable to drive to work. Change Order for Soffits: They discovered extensive rot during the roof removal. We agreed to pay for repairs, but the price seemed unreasonably high. We suspect the quote was inflated due to the contentious nature of our prior interactions.

Within 5 minutes of the consult I was quoted at $20,000 for just the removal of the stone siding, which is only on the front portion of my home. By far the most outrageous and highest quote I received thus far.
