She is truly a natural and I would consider going back to that store. Everyone else didn't seem too quick to help me but sarah?! she was enthuastic and as soon as she saw me she wanted to help. I liked that it had lots of independent stores and not just chains. That being said, most of the stores were not really my style (i.e. cheaply made clothes, costume jewelry, gift items, etc.), but it was still fun to walk around a mall I had never been to before, even though I walked away empty-handed. There was this one store called Vase Caravan and it was such an unusual little store. It had lots of Buddha statues and also lots of Jesus statues for sale! They also sold instant noodles. It was a really weird and random kind of store. I secretly like weird though, lol. The anchor stores are The Bay, The Brick, Bureau en Gros (aka Staples), Best Buy and Ares. The food court is pretty small, but there's a pretty fish aquarium at the centre. There's also a Chinese buffet (Buffet Fu Lam) in the mall. This mall has free WiFi and you don't have to log on through Facebook or Twitter or give them your email address (like some places). Definitely not a destination shopping mall, but not too bad.

What a strange and rundown little mall. So there's an actual mall part to Les Galeries Laval and…read morethen there are free standing stores that you cannot access through the mall, but only from outside. The actual mall part is sad. Lots of empty spaces. Mostly independent stores that look like they are struggling. There's a lottery and gaming place in the mall where you can bet on horses and play video lottery terminals. There's also a place to exchange money and oddly it had lineups out the door. There are also some government offices in this mall (Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec). Probably the coolest thing was the Jungle Adventure Gym for kids next to the food court. The food court was tiny (2 vendors). The free standing stores were much cooler. They have a Magi-Prix which is essentially a Dollar Store that also sells party supplies. There's an Archambault, which is like a Chapters/Indigo except they also sell musical instruments and sheet music. The Aubanerie there is quite big (it's a clothing store. I'd say comparable in style and quality to Dynamite, Garage, Suzy Shier, etc. They had lots of brands I never heard of before. The only brand I recognized was Vero Moda). I'd say it's more a mall for locals to run errands or when they are looking for specific things (like I don't know, maybe sheet music to "Moon River" or a "Happy 50th Birthday Banner"), it's definitely not a destination shopping mall! There's lots of free parking and it's not very busy.

You have to go outside and likely walk across the parking lot to get from store to store. This is personally not my favourite layout for shopping, but it's not uncommon in the suburbs. I pretty much just went here for the Winners. There's also a Dollarama, a few shoe stores, a Golf Town, an Indigo, some banks, and other services. There are also some fast food places like Thai Express, Amir, Subway, Tim Hortons, and Starbucks. It's not far from Metro Station Montmorency. It's also across the street from Centre Laval and kitty corner from Les Galeries Laval. Lots of free parking.

If you go to Marche Central on a busy day, the jams get to be infuriating. Furthermore, what a waste of land. It is not efficiently utilized because of all the extra land that is not utilized around each store building. I don't understand that commerce want to locate in such malls, it does not encourage impulse buying, very hard to go from one store to another without moving the car !

This Walmart is HUUUGE! It's also a grocery store with some really competitive prices across the…read moreboard. Heck, there's even a Tim Horton's inside of this place. It's like the Canadian dream! You can easily lose yourself in this place and there's a lot of things you can buy on the cheap. My only gripe with this Walmart is the overabundance of staff walking around yet so many displays can be empty. For example, I wanted to buy some batteries and when shown where it was by a member of the staff we both noticed the entire section for it was nearly empty except for a few select batteries I didn't need.

They have everything they sell at the American walmarts plus more. The main reason I shop here is for the Canadian exclusive items which are mostly food products. For example, they sell vegetarian gelatin-free Kellogg's Rice Krispies treats and vanilla Rice Krispies cereal. My favorite aisle to spend time at is the candy aisle. I love stocking up on all the unique Canadian kit kat flavors and coffee crisp. I never leave this Walmart without spending at least $30. Best of all, they have self check out.

The positive side of that is that is there is a lot less people so I'm never worried about the 2m when I go buy things because there's lots of space. The mall itself has amazing stores and yummy restaurants (Valentine poutine- YUM), is very clean and is the first mall I've been to that has a breastfeeding room! It is just a small stall with a chair in it, with an adjoining room for kids to sit and play. It was nice to see a room for women like myself who have babies they need to take care of without having to be on display to the whole mall (although I bf in public anyway too). I will say though, for any parent with kids who want to try the Virtual Reality, be aware of who is working one of the stations. While we were there, there were two tall men who were very courteous. There was another shorter man working the other station. I am not sure if he is a permanent or seasonal employee, but his actions made us pull our son out of the line, complain and ask for our money back. Our Son is 8. In the 3 minutes he was in line, this man reprimanded him for not looking him in the eyes, said "we just passed Remembrance Day but you want to play a shooting game? Why don't you sign up for the army or military instead" (I didn't want him playing that one but don't OFFER a shooting game then), and when he asked what smash meant, he said "it's what your mommy and daddy used to do". That is when we left. It was COMPLETELY inappropriate. So, parents, just be careful. I'm glad our Son isn't old enough to understand what the man meant. Other than that one experience, we've had amazing times at this mall and we enjoy going.
