Losing your best friend who you love dearly is difficult enough and trying to arrange the planning…read moreof their funeral only amplifies those feelings. However, at this, the most traumatic time of my life so far, I could not have wished for better support and service than that provided by Natalie and her Team at N J Newbury & Sons. Natalie demonstrated genuine care and compassion to not only myself, but also others closely related to my friend, taking time beyond what would be considered generous to look after us. Whether it was getting to know about and understand my friend and what she went through, to sitting and talking when I was overcome with grief, Natalie and her family understood exactly what I was going through and how to support me. Communication was so easy, not limited to a brief formal meeting as some in similar situations to me who I know have experienced, and the planning seemed effortlessly so that the funeral was so wonderfully bespoke to reflect who my friend was; though I know that a great deal of work and planning had been put in by Natalie, her family, and her Team, including working into the night before to ensure everything was perfect (and it was perfect!). Everything at the funeral itself was exact to the vision that Natalie lovingly guided us to create, and was carried out by Natalie and her Team with overwhelming respect and dedication; nothing could have been any more perfect for my friend, it was exactly how she would have wanted it. This was again down to Natalie's caring and supportive nature and her dedication to ensuring that the funeral was personal, not just going through the motions. Finally, my experience has been that after the funeral the feeling of loss can be overwhelming as it can feel so final and all the funeral planning has ended. Natalie has been amazing and stayed in contact to make sure that I am coping ok...... this is not something that you could hope to experience from other faceless process driven funeral directors. All that I am left to say is thank you from my heart to Natalie, her Husband, her Mum, and her wonderful team for helping me prepare, make plans, and deliver the funeral that Maggie would be proud of, and supporting and 'holding my hand' through the hardest day of my life so far - thank you!
