They got several of my information wrong and did not bother to check in with me as they were supposed to. The nurse we saw was incompetent. I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt after she messed up a simple pelvic exam for a pap test and made me bleed for weeks, but when I had to go back to see a doctor to do a second pap test and thought this would get resolved, she was there yet again and her incompetence ruined my experience. As it turns out, she put the wrong label on my pap test, and I got a call a few days later that my pap test was destroyed because of her mistake and I would have to come in again. To make me feel better, they told me that this had happened to a lot of other women. It did not make me feel better. Pap tests are traumatic and extremely painful for me (I have two diagnosed physical conditions causing severe pain with penetration of any kind) and upon explaining the situation and requesting sedation, analgesics or medication for the third time doing this horrible, painful procedure (because of their mistake!), I was told I would be called back by the nurse. Instead, management calls me to reimburse me out of the blue. I had a terrible call with Genevieve, the director of the establishment. She is, by far, the worse one in this clinic. She showed zero empathy for my situation, did not even apologize once for their mistakes, took zero accountability and when I asked how I could trust that they wouldn't make this mistake again with the label, she offered zero assurances that they would make sure the right label was on for the next time. This is the kind of person who runs this clinic - a person who listens to another woman telling her that pelvic exams are absolute torture and that it is inhumane to subject myself and other women to several painful procedures without sedation, analgesics or medication, and yet doesn't care in the slightest. Why am I able to receive sedation for virtually any painful other tests I've done, yet not for this? And when sharing my pain, sharing how torturous it is for me, all she did was invalidate my experience, my pain, and my trauma. I explain to her that for me this is torture (it really is; more painful than recovery from dental surgery for two abcess, more painful than appendictis, and I could go on), and all she had to respond with was "it's not torture." Who is she to know what my pain is and isn't? I was reimbursed for all the costs at the very least, perhaps the 1 star can account for that. But even with my money back, I have lost weeks, have been tortured on their table twice, and now have to do a third pap test anyway. Oh, another thing: the receptionists ignored us for 10 minutes and so we arrived 5 minutes late to one of our appointments and we got charged for that time. The doctor rushed us out when our minutes were up, even though we were not finished and I had other concerns. All they care about is money. Give it to another clinic that actually will care about you.

I did my "suivi de grossesse" here - ie; one million follow up appointments while cooking my kiddo - and over time realized this group offers what was for me the perfect balance between midwives on the one hand and high medicalized obstetric surgeons on the other. I wanted a hippie goddess mother birth vibe with all the ressources modern medicine could provide and that's exactly what I got. Unlike some of my friends who did their pregnancy follow ups in other hospitals and clinics I was encouraged to have a birth plan and to bring in a doula - two simple factors that statistically increase a mother's likelihood of having a positive birth experience. I always felt like I was being educated and supported in my choices and never judged or bullied. In the end I ended up seeing 3 different doctors from this group during my longgggg and complicated labour and they were all these kind, powerful, wise women who we trusted immediately and with good reason. Our appointments were almost always on time or within 20 minutes (I had friends wait over 2hrs for their pregnancy checkups) we always felt like our doctor, though a busy badass, would take any amount of time required to answer our questions and make us feel confident before walking out the door - so key when you're a freaked out first time parent. And the reception were kind, quick and friendly. All in all, an amazing experience during a nerve wracking miraculous time.

I had to see an Osteopath/Physiotherapist fix my bulging, painful lower back My man was Frederic Guay. He was recommended to me by my yoga studio mates (they all go this spinal clinic). Freddie has a background in kinesiology. He's perhaps not the very best I've ever had but he's good. Consistent. Through some slow pressure treatment on my lower spine, he had me standing in just one session. Then it took some ongoing physiotherapy to improve the spine. Even at a little over $100 an hour, it's well-worth the investment. ((A good back is essential for quality of life people!)) But it requires at least ten regular sessions to see full improvement. As for the facilities, everyone seems friendly and professional. The clinic is clean, calm and a whole lot of zen.
