My own experience with Dr. Bautista was phenomenal. I'd waited too long to take care of an abscessed tooth and the pain was worse than unbearable. Without hesitation, the staff accommodated me for an appointment ASAP. The dental hygienist who saw me was super understanding, calm and social. I'm the type of person who is crazy nervous at the dentist, but she made me feel super comfortable. I was quickly scheduled for a root canal, and when the time came, let me tell you, I don't think I've ever been more anxious. Again, the front staff made me feel so at ease... I should have listened to their reassurance, because honestly Dr. Bautista did an awesome job. I felt literally no pain during the whole procedure, and he was even cracking a few jokes throughout; and in the end, he did a fantastic job. It's a few days later and I still don't feel any pain or discomfort. Bottom line, I've never felt more welcomed or comfortable at a dentist's office, ever. The office is top notch and the machinery is up to date; the entire staff is outstanding, super professional, kind and welcoming. Nobody likes to get dental work done, so I suggest you make it easy on yourself and go see Dr. Bautista.

I only have love for the staff here- from the receptionists to the dental hygienists to my actual dentist! I understand how daunting dental exams can sometimes be but the quality of the experience here helps reduce any anxiety you may have. The space is clean and modern. I went on three occasions (in one week!) and each time the friendly dental hygienists thoroughly explained which tools were going to be used and for what purpose. My dentist Dr Desmarchais is first of all hilarious which is actually an inconvenience since it was uncomfortable to laugh with so many tools in my mouth. She explained which treatments I needed and how to maintain healthy dental hygiene. Spoiler alert: flossing is not optional. I've had bad experiences with other dentists where the work had to be redone and I used to always get food stuck in my teeth but I haven't had any issues since my appointment here. They use digital X-rays as well, which is apparently better than traditional X-rays. Since they're located dt, they come in at 7:30am to accommodate office workers who want to squeeze in an appointment before work. I had a large amalgam filling changed out on April 1st and am pleased and relieved to report that he is the gentlest dentist that I've ever had. It took barely an hour to replace the filling and the entire procedure was painless. He was calm as he worked which helped me calm down, and his assistant was a Pro with the suction tube. Not once did I have to gargle and gasp to bring attention to rising "water levels". So now I have a fabulous new white tooth where the dull grey one was and I'm no longer self-conscious about smiling. Change is good, but not too much at one time so I love the fact that Dr. Seminara kept Dr. Dobby's old crew. Yay!

Honestly, I did not feel a thing -- not during the blood draw, nor during the tooth extraction, nor during the preparation for the implant and the bone graft. She is a young doctor who is both kind and deeply human, and I am certain she has an outstanding future ahead in this field. I would also like to highlight the wonderful synergy of the entire team: Yvonne, Christine at reception, Marie, and all the other staff members. Just updating this because everyone here is the best. I went in recently kind of freaked out (as…read moreusual) and the hygienist Jessica was amazing. She put down all the tools and took the time to explain to me exactly why I didn't need to be afraid, and more about how teeth and roots and gums work than anyone has bothered to explain to me before. She dug into drawers to find a flavour of the fluoride stuff that wouldn't make me gag (orange! changed my life!) And generally didn't make me feel judged, just laughed and made me feel comfortable. Also, Doctor Kordlouie is the best dentist. Not just because of the hilarious jokes and taste in music, but because he is constantly going out of his way to learn more about the science of dentistry from all over the world. He doesn't judge dentists who charge extra for first visits or for xrays, but that's not his style so it's more affordable than other spots. And he doesn't jump right into surgery, he likes to show you where the problem areas are and coach you how to take care of your teeth, and keep an eye on it for a couple months before deciding if fillings are necessary. Just generally wanted to reiterate that I'm so so so happy to have found this dental practice.

And they had the best sale on Squishmallows I've ever seen in my life. Huge Squishmallows for $3-5. And they had these huge Pokemon Ball plushies for $15 marked down from $79.99. I so wanted to get them for my nieces, but we were going back to Ottawa by train and these things were huge. Such a shame. It is too late to know as they will have destroyed the X-rays. Up until seeing him I had healthy teeth with no cavities. When I went in to see him 30 years ago He told me I had one massive one and two smaller ones, and drilled into healthy teeth to fill them. Today my Endodotist tells me that that treatment went into my sinuses - I just saw it on a recent X-ray. He is absolutely the worst dentist and has ruined two of my teeth for life.

Amazing! Yeah, no…read moreone usually uses the word amazing and dentist in the same sentence, but Dr. Collins at Clinique Dentaire La Cite definitely deserves the praise. I went to Dr. Collins as a new resident of Montreal, and had no clue for what a great experience I was in for. I had previously gone to a dentist in Chicago and knew that I needed a crown on a tooth that had previously undergone a root canal. Dr. Collins is by far the best dentist I have ever gone to. He made sure to make me feel comfortable and was very aware of how anxious I was about the procedure. He talked to me about all my options, never pressured me and took the procedure at a slower pace that I could handle. His office is gorgeous, and has a panoramic view of Mt. Royal and the canal. It is located on the 9th floor of the Transat Tower which is across the street from Parc Jeanne Mance and Parc Mount Royal. What a view! Completely different than most dentist offices, which resemble dungeons more than anything else. He put on a movie for me to watch while he was doing the procedure, it definitely helped me take my mind off of everything and eased my anxiety. His assistant was super sweet and chatted with me before and after, making me feel comfortable and not worried. I'm sooooooo glad I somehow found Dr. Collins, he made the whole experience painless in every way.
