I stumbled upon the Tax and Tea Lounge while attending a Candle Making class for Top Shelf Candle…read moreMaking, which was hosted by gentleman named Xavier. The Tax and Tea lounge is a quaint little family owned business ran by Hassan and his lovely wife, who sponsored the candle event. The owners and their staff kept the drinks flowing and the hookah burning through the entire event. The Lounge is located right in the heart of the University City area in a strip mall so there is plenty of parking in the evening. The Tax and Tea lounge is much bigger than it looks outside, so there's lots of tables and seating for customers or events, and several large screen large television for the sports fans to watch the game or multiple games at once. The Tax and Tea Lounge is clean and well maintained, and the bathroom is immaculate! They do a great job keeping the bar area clean and well stocked with top shelf liquor. If you're looking for a spot to host a party or gathering, with a few table adjustments the Tax and Tea Lounge is the perfect spot to host almost any size event.

I would not recommend this service. I was scheduled to have an onboarding video meeting in which I…read morewas have difficulties figuring out. They then refused to use a telephone to correct the issue. This business seems to ONLY want to do business over email. Well, I tried that. The picture below shows how many attempts I made to get my meeting rescheduled. After the fifth attempt, I FINNALY got a response saying they are now closed tor the season! Haha! The same email explained they would be back in the office on August 18th and to reach back out at that time to continue where we left off. I had no choice since they had all my original tax documents and I could not retrieve them. I waited patiently for this time to arrive. They just returned back to the office at the said time and notified me that since I missed the onboarding call on April 22 that they refused to reschedule, they are not taking on any clients. If you are a high net-worth client like myself, I would avoid this company like the plague. They are unresponsive (as shown below), they lack systems to help when a client cant get into a meeting, they have no issue lying about revisiting your tasks after their promise to do so.

3 Stars: A-OK Right?…read more I don't think anyone who has to come here is ever going to say that they are a 'fan' of the IRS, but that being said, my experience with this office was definitely a positive one. First of all, if you're reading this review because you know you're going to need to visit this office, go to the IRS website and schedule an appointment. Just find the "Contact Local Office" page on the site and you'll see a number to schedule an appointment. While you can wait to see someone and I don't think they can turn you away to talk to them, they WILL prioritize any and all taxpayers that have an appointment first. If your individual situation is complex, they may very well turn you away due to someone with an appointment coming in soon. It's just how it is now. All that being said, I DID arrive without an appointment (learn from my mistake). I had about a half-hour wait and a man named Mr. Faust helped me with my rather minor issue in a few minutes. These people are professionals, they will explain your situation in simple english and how to resolve if needed. The only way I could see anyone in this office being rude is if you initiate it. Also, if you're afraid of contacting the IRS because you know your in tax trouble, don't be. Take the first step to resolve any issues and you'll be treated with respect.
