Not being with the practice myslef i find it very differnt to mine whichhas ten doctors and is far too large, they never know you, were as this one is so much more better and i feel more confident knowing my daughter will get the best care from all the staff here.

Good surgery with a choice of doctors…read more Staff always pleasant enough and will help you out with any queries. The only downside I think is that it could do with a bit of a makeover. The inside is a bit tired and dated with not much natural light in the waiting areas (although the doctors rooms have lovely giant bay windows which let in plenty of light). And maybe bbc news on the TV monitors or something, just something to pass the time while your waiting for your appointment (but not that awful hull gp dvd they used to play on a loop!)

I have been given support from all members of a…read morelovely team, starting with the receptionists who have done their best to help me sort which Dr can help me best, secretaries who listen and help with messages and letters received or need to be sent, prescriptions are dealt with, put into queries if necessary and tried to be ready within 48 hours or shorter if possible. I have an arrangement for a pharmacy pick up from the surgery and they deliver to my home. I have had consultations at the surgery, over the phone or at home if really needed with the GP. I have had appointments as needed with the Nurses for specific clinics and they have a blood test (phlebotomist) person.The cleaner always says says Hello. Thank you for all that you have done for me, with me and I know will do in the future

They have another surgery on Craven Road I think, but this one is closer for me. It's a beautiful Victorian building, all high ceilings and big doors and windows, and there's a car park round the back (off Grove Lane), although it's meant to be for staff and disabled customers only but there's always plenty of space so I park there anyway. There's a nifty new electronic log-in when you arrive which is a bit confusing, but the reception staff are helpful if you need a hand. The practice nurse is hilarious and very good at relaxing you if you're a bit nervous.

New Croft Surgery is a fairly new surgery which is both welcoming and spacious. They do emergency…read moreappointments and are open fairly late. When I was unfortunate enough to warrant a visit here on an emergency appointment the staff were quick and efficient and very friendly and helpful. I went straight in to see a lovely doctor who was that nice to me that she made me cry! She quickly sussed out my situation and sorted me a prescription out. Even better is that they have a Lloyds pharamacy attached to the side of the building so it's really convenient to go and pick up what ever you need.

I had a much different experience in Leeds where you had to wait at least 2 weeks for an appointment and once you got to see a doctor they were already writing the presciption before you entered the room! - So i really appreicate the service from here. It has recently merged with the doctors behind it and so have moved to the larger building behind but thsi move has been well signposted.
