Beyond great, Dr. Zhao healed me of two major problems when we were both in Ithaca. Western…read moremedicine elsewhere (these 2 are trained to US standards in addition to traditional ) had given me useless inhalers. Then, a professor referred me to Dr. Zhao and her sister who together got me healing. Later, on crutches for months, I was treated by them with immediate results. I'd go across country for treatment by either sister. Some office visits required more time and more approaches, but the visit cost the same regardless and was reasonable for me, a grad' student. Their philosophy of healing, their approach with patience and dignity, is healing in itself. Lighter story: Once, they gave me herbs to soak and drink for a nasty cold. Next visit, they said: "You're still sick! You didn't take your medicine!" "How did you know I didn't?""Because you're still sick!"

Dr. Zhao is a compassionate, highly trained professional! I highly recommend her. I have gone to…read moreher for about 8 years....it is just so healing for me. If you are reading this....you might be in pain, frustrated, weak....wondering why you are "stuck." If you want to try accupuncture, you need to know that Dr. Zhao was a top medical doctor in China and has over 20 years experience here, even teaching at a nearby chiropractic school. I would really recommend a real Chinese person, especially a doctor for this type of medicine....she can give you so much background that westerners cannot. This is not western medicine, this is a different culture/philosophy, so please acknowledge that. She works by herself and does everything herself; she has no receptionist to answer calls or do paperwork (this lowers the office rates). So chances are when you call her, she is currently working. It is easier to ask your questions and understand the treatments either by going to her website or stopping in, if you can, to ask her. She has a strong Chinese accent and it may be harder to understand over the phone. The best part is, when you come to her, you have her all to yourself for at least an hour, usually $65.00. Insurance doesn't usually cover accupuncture....but think of it, an hour for consultation and treatment....so thorough. You can talk to her about anything you want, she has so much experience, so many suggestions and will customize the treatments to YOU. She also can provide herbs and supplements fairly inexpensively. She is one of my favorite practitioners of all time. She is super patient, knowledgeable and very supportive. You may or may not "feel" immediate results after your first visit: please don't give up. This is a process that involves much more than just showing up and getting needles....it is a whole philosophy (including nutrition, sleep, relaxation, allergies, etc) to help your healing journey.

Melody Osgood takes her time understanding where you are at and tuning in to her very intuitive approach. It was nearly painless to support releasing through the Acusound. She has a calm, centered, and matter of fact presence. You can tell very much she is well educated in her practice. I love how Zachary Odinson Osgood works in collaboration with @osgoodfamilyaccupunturepllc @thechakratuner he is super tapped in with his connection to Nature, and the ancient Ones. I always love hearing the spiritual messages, affirmations, and layers of protective presence Zach offers his clients. His approach supports and energetically enhances everything else in the session. I experienced the chakra balancing and tuning forks with the acupuncture. The tones are harmonizing and relaxing. I felt safe and fully supported receiving There was also a portion where I witnessed my body go deep into processing something that had been truly disturbing me in my life. Today I feel more free and open. My hips feel aligned and open like I remember before having experienced this trauma last year. I am enlivened and ready for my next steps. I highly recommend visiting for treatment!

I strive each day to provide the best possible care and education for my patients. Since a very young age, I always knew that I wanted to be a healthcare practitioner to help others on their journey to health. Originally intending to become a doctor, I attended Rochester Institute of Technology and studied Biomedical Sciences. It was while attending that program that I discovered that the Biomedical Approach to healthcare did not resonate with me. I took some time to evaluate my position after my Bachelor’s degree and in the process, I discovered acupuncture and loved that the paradigm is more about treating both the root and the branch of the illness. I later enrolled at the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and New York Chiropractic College. While in school, I discovered not only a passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine but also what acupuncture could do for my patients. After graduating, I took a particular interest in the life cycle and in the transitions we make as we go through events such as birth and death. This led me to pursue my certification in Hospice and Palliative Care Acupuncture as well as my DONA training as a Doula. I am currently working towards full DONA certification and I'm continuing my learning constantly in order to stay up to date and provide my patients the best care possible.
