When I…read morefirst went to see him I had intense lower left back pain especially when I would try to turn over in my bed, my back would just start spasming. My first treatment which included an hour acupressure message or some call it a medical message, followed by an acupuncture procedure and cupping, totaling a full hour and a half. Let me tell you, which I tell all my friends...I can't get to the bank quick enough each week to be able to have another secession with Dr. Li. I am 67 yrs. old now and have never felt better. When you have your body tuned up every week, it could be from a sprained ankle, which I just had fixed last week, to just removing all the tight spots or knots in your back and neck, I sleep so well, walk with a better gate and basically my whole body feels free from stress

Western…read moremedicine elsewhere (these 2 are trained to US standards in addition to traditional ) had given me useless inhalers. Then, a professor referred me to Dr. Zhao and her sister who together got me healing. Later, on crutches for months, I was treated by them with immediate results. I'd go across country for treatment by either sister. Some office visits required more time and more approaches, but the visit cost the same regardless and was reasonable for me, a grad' student. Their philosophy of healing, their approach with patience and dignity, is healing in itself. Lighter story: Once, they gave me herbs to soak and drink for a nasty cold. Next visit, they said: "You're still sick! You didn't take your medicine!" "How did you know I didn't?""Because you're still sick!"

Dr. Zhao is a compassionate, highly trained professional! I highly recommend her. I have gone to…read moreher for about 8 years....it is just so healing for me. If you are reading this....you might be in pain, frustrated, weak....wondering why you are "stuck." If you want to try accupuncture, you need to know that Dr. Zhao was a top medical doctor in China and has over 20 years experience here, even teaching at a nearby chiropractic school. I would really recommend a real Chinese person, especially a doctor for this type of medicine....she can give you so much background that westerners cannot. This is not western medicine, this is a different culture/philosophy, so please acknowledge that. She works by herself and does everything herself; she has no receptionist to answer calls or do paperwork (this lowers the office rates). So chances are when you call her, she is currently working. It is easier to ask your questions and understand the treatments either by going to her website or stopping in, if you can, to ask her. She has a strong Chinese accent and it may be harder to understand over the phone. The best part is, when you come to her, you have her all to yourself for at least an hour, usually $65.00. Insurance doesn't usually cover accupuncture....but think of it, an hour for consultation and treatment....so thorough. You can talk to her about anything you want, she has so much experience, so many suggestions and will customize the treatments to YOU. She also can provide herbs and supplements fairly inexpensively. She is one of my favorite practitioners of all time. She is super patient, knowledgeable and very supportive. You may or may not "feel" immediate results after your first visit: please don't give up. This is a process that involves much more than just showing up and getting needles....it is a whole philosophy (including nutrition, sleep, relaxation, allergies, etc) to help your healing journey.
