What the reviews don't say is Dr. Morrell is often called upon as an expert witness by the courts to testify in cases such as those involving child custody, diminished mental capacity, etc. He has been an advocate for both defendants and the prosecution and exhibits unquestionable professional ethics. What is reflected in these negative reviews are unwarranted attacks by individuals who were affected by Dr. Morrell's professional testimony and chose this forum to vent. As far as my experience goes, I find Dr. Morrell's treatment to be individualized, compassionate, and effective. If you are looking for a cookie cutter, 12 steps works for everyone therapist, then perhaps he is not your man. For everyone else, I cannot recommend him high enough.

He is good at monitoring medication dosage and is very knowledgeable about drugs and the human psychological condition. I would not say that he was the most meticulous man. Also understanding what your mental problem is, is also fine. He is a good psychologist, counseling really is not his thing.

After she brought it up a couple of times, which made me cringe, i didn't listen to my gut, but in error, I rationalized "well she's just probing trying to see if maybe that's part of my story.". But When I did not buy into it, her last resort was the Con.. a CON can tell you something about themselves, share something very personal for example in order to show you that they like and trust you so that you can reciprocate, like, trust and Open to them. , it's a lure., a baiting strategy... so during my session: she confessed out loud, expressing cheerful, emotion that she had "attained transcendental realization" During exhilarating intercourse. !! At that point, I laughed out loud a little , chuckling, but actually in disbelief that she would be so small minded, so academically unsophisticated and unprofessional . I talked to other trained therapists and respected, ethical minded, professionals about my experience, and their reactions were conclusive such a report, whether intended to manipulate or as some weird idea of what she thinks is Therapeutic and was not only disrespectful and out of bounds , but I suspect a violation of ethics. she also put me under hypnosis twice without my authorization . The first time, I had a vague feeling that I was coming out from under hypnosis, and I thought if I continue with therapy, I need to ask her if she's doing this to which I would object, and I need to let her know that I'm not giving my approval. but the next time I went in for a session, she did it again, I felt completely certain that she had... because as I am coming out from under hypnosis, I saw her moving in the room from having been sitting down in front of me to standing over me, and counting me out from trance,, then I heard her say in a really sinister voice. "well I bet you won't be calling me again.!" Anyone, credentialed or not, who conducts experiments on humans and/or puts others under transfer or hypnosis without their knowledge and written Consent in authorization is not only in violation of ethics but of the law.

This was not what I would call good medicine. I would not recommend him to anyone.
