I drove a long way and got to his office 9 minutes early and found no one there. He finally came out 3 minutes early and was combative, aggressive and intimidating, belittling me for being too early! I have never been so rudely treated in my life!! This is someone who is supposed to help people! I would not send anyone to him, a so called professional.

He represented there are NO qualified therapists in Medford adequately trained in dealing with PTSD for veterans and he knows this for a fact. He cited he would not see my brother due what he called a conflict of interest with the VA, having worked there and spoke unkindly about their reputation. Although disappointing this was direct and helpful. When I asked for a referral he said to do my homework in finding out of area Psychologists in Seattle, Portland and other metropolitan areas. When I mentioned my brother has mobility issues and logistics would be difficult I experienced agitation and impatience from him, raising his voice, talking over me and not allowing me to speak, citing I am not willing to do what it takes to help my brother. Astounding. It is my baseline expectation that a therapists emotional intelligence be developed enough to not shout at a prospective client or family. I would be careful in engaging services with this therapist if this is the way he shows up.

I want to reach out and express my immense gratitude and respect for the incredible work of Jackson…read moreCounty Mental Health Crisis Team! Their tireless support over 4-5 months of crisis since April 2024 helped our 19-year old move from active psychosis to recovery. As with many folks with mental illness, our loved one was resistant to treatment for most of this time. We also had a complex situation due to having 2 parent households, a friend's household, and family members with different values. ALL of us had our nervous systems dysregulated by dealing with our loved one's symptoms and had difficulty setting boundaries with them and each other. Zak's steady, calm presence and willingness to take our twice weekly calls reporting on our loved one's mania, delusions, and depression cycles was a huge help. And when the team of Zak, Joanna & Jonathan began meeting with us in person we became empowered to start problem-solving. Zak's experience with individuals on the spectrum was also helpful to guide our understanding since our loved one has ASD. While our loved one was never willing to be part of these meetings, eventually all family members joined, and came together to insist on a drug-free environment and mental health treatment for them. During these many months our loved one was bouncing around between 3 different households. But all of the consistent support from the Crisis Team had prepared us. So when there was a property destruction incident in late July, we were a united front regarding our expectations, and they were willing to go to the hospital. Since the initial diagnosis of first-break schizophrenia and the administration of Abilify at the BHU, our loved one has been enrolled in EASA(youth age 15-25 version of ACT recovery program which is for 18 years and up) for the last 2 months. Again, this is an outcome the Crisis Team helped us with! And our loved one is doing much better. The manic & delusional symptoms have dissipated, although there is still some depression to work through. And we family members have been glad for some final support from your team, since EASA does not support the family initially, only the individual. We are grateful that we have been invited to receive family support from EASA starting next month But please know we are forever grateful to Zak and the Crisis Team! He was our ally and guide during this very harrowing time. We really respect his expertise at mediating complex family dynamics to get a good outcome. Joanna and Jonathan were also very compassionate and insightful. From what we can see at the NAMI(National Association of Mental Health) meetings, many families still struggle with adult children who are untreated. Your Crisis Team Program is invaluable in our community and we will be recommending you! Thank you again for all you do.

I wish I could have selected zero stars because JCMH has only made me feel worse instead of better…read more I went to JCMH for three and a half years for weekly Psychotherapy. The therapists there are like a revolving door. Always retiring or moving on. Often times their Crisis Line does not return my calls. I gave up on them and I am done with trying to help myself get better. Just going to live with my mental Illness and hopefully undo the damage that JCMH did to me.

I felt the need to do a review after seeing Sarah G's review about her experience. I am not sure…read morewho she was seeing there but I have had the complete opposite experience with my counselor there. She has been the most incredible provider I have found in the valley and I've been to several. Helena Turner is absolutely amazing. From the first time meeting I felt like I've known her forever and she made me feel so accepted and loved. She made me feel so comfortable she almost feels like a mom figure and I'm 38! I've worked with providers within 3 different states and she's been hands down the best I have worked with and night and day different from the others. I cannot say enough good things about her. I too have had problems with my prescriptions but it's been the pharmacies NOT the business. I have had to change pharmacies 4 times now and have finally found an amazing Pharmacy as well! With certain medications being a controlled substance if you have to transfer pharmacies they have to call in a new script it can't just be transferred and she has been great. A simple message on the spruce app they use and my scripts are called in. They typically answer quite promptly and have been nothing but kind and caring. I have been on a waitlist to start the ketamine treatment but they were upfront with me on where I was at on the list. It has been an extensive amount of time I've waited but that's only because the lady that runs the clinic, had a freak accident happen, got her wisdom teeth removed and the dentist broke her jaw in the process so it really put a wrench in things for some time but they are back in business. They actually contacted me on Monday letting me know they have a couple slots available to start on the ketamine treatment this next week and I'm extremely grateful for that! I need it now more than ever. They have been extremely prompt with their responses through the app and I just don't have a bad thing to say about this place! It takes alot for me to write a review and it doesn't happen often, but this one definitely deserves it! Also wish you the best Sarah, if you are able and I'm not sure who you were seeing but I don't see a counselor there just a psych Helena Turner and she is incredible! Maybe request a change if possible? I also HIGHLY suggest trying Black Oak Pharmacy, it's right by Asante hospital, but call because the address is wrong on maps on my iPhone. They have been AMAZING, never a line, also have an appt and they have been SO so great! Zero problems with them! I know when I started with them they didn't have any counselors available so I understand that frustration. best of luck to you though!

I truly hate to give this 1 star. There are some staff members that are truly exceptional, but…read moreunfortunately those members are either the receptionist or in billing. It's very expensive to start, but this isn't a place to receive counseling its really just a clinic and one stop shop if you can't get in anywhere else. It was extremely frustrating trying to get help either by phone or app. I do not know how long prescriptions take to fill but every time there were major issues. I had a very hard time getting help from Paradigm to send a prescription to a pharmacy that had my meds. There were issues in the pharmacist system with the drs old exp license in the computer that took 2 days to sort through. The frustration on my end wasn't about the delay to receive my meds alone. That was not their fault or mine. My issue was the surprisingly bad attitude my counselor had when addressing my frustrations. I Waited 2 days while the pharmacies system updated the counselors license on file. Then the same issue happened 3 separate times. I couldn't get ahold of my counselor, or anyone at paradigm that would care to help, and then I received a very long message from my counselor chastising me for being frustrated with their clinic. I work long hours, in different international time zones....taking hours out of my day to sit in my car trying to make someone answer their phone, not once but every time ....is poor customer service and even worse...a counselor that doesn't understand why your frustrated instead writes you a long message in a group chat as to why my frustration is unacceptable is just that...unacceptable. To sum it up...there are staff members that are truly wonderful at Paradigm...billing and reception. If they had a different counselor I would be open to seeing them again because the billing and receptionist always tried to help me. Until then....no care or somewhere far would be better than Paradigm. Sincerely ....I really hate to write this review but people need to know the truth and not mess around with their mental well being.
