We followed Dr. Kobell from Acupet in Hudson to this non-vet, corporation owned company. We didn't…read moremind the long distance, or the higher prices. We also liked the other vet, Dr. Novy, and all of the staff very much. Our rescue girl had become extremely ill, quickly, and we were referred to Blue Pearl due to her heart issues. The vet care was great and due to our pups symptoms we were told to communicate w/Dr. Novy via text with our concerns, questions, and videos over the Thanksgiving Day holiday. Unfortunately, we had to take our girl into Blue Pearl on the holiday. We were told by an employee of New Tampa that, as per Dr. Novy's instructions, our girl's xrays, etc were to be sent to Blue Pearl by that Wednesday. However, Blue Pearl could not locate them at the time of our visit. Being a holiday, nothing could be done. We texted this info and update of our ER Visit to New Tampa later that night. We ended up back at New Tampa a few days later, at which time we shared that Blue Pearl said they didn't have her xrays to Dr. Novy. Dr. Novy was unaware of when our upcoming appointment was with the cardiologist, too. This was something else this particular employee was supposed to do. We were not terribly upset about it all because our appointment with the cardiologist wasn't until the following week. I had jokingly said to Dr. Novy that, "if she does it again, we'll drag her out to the parking lot and beat her". Obviously, this was a joke. Considering how sleep deprived we were from our girl keeping us up nights, it probably sounded more stupid than funny. But, Dr. Novy was upset, and had indicated how this particular employee "gives so much useless info on a regular basis, but forgets the important stuff". At that, she left the room to check into this while we waited. What happened next was just crazy! The office manager entered and began yelling at my husband and I! This woman was unhinged, unstable, loud, and so unbelievably unprofessional, we were both shocked! She screamed that, "I threatened 'her' employee"! Which of course we had spoken to the employee already and we were all good. But she continued to verbally assault us for "expecting someone to respond to our texts on a holiday", which of course we know better than that, hence why we took our dog to Blue Pearl, not them. Screaming that, "when she was a hospital manager they would throw out random xrays that came in"! Of course it didn't matter that my name, and phone # was already in their system to her, even prior to us making the new appointment for the cardiologist. She continued on that the xrays had been sent and received, too. I had to yell at her to stop because our dog started having a problem breathing! But she continued! I finally yelled to get the doctor! I shared this with Dr. Novy, and the Office Manager came back in after I had my husband take our girl to the car. She had the audacity to tell me, "we should go elsewhere"! Then lied to Dr. Novy, telling her that she said, "if we were more comfortable, we could go elsewhere"! I asked for this nut job's name, and her supervisor's contact info. She scribbled it on a post-it. Our dog has been extremely sick and we came close to losing her, and not just from the heart issues. We've spent over $15,000 to date, and were forced to find a new vet office in the middle of all this. I took time away from caring for our sick baby to reach out to this corporation. Of course they already had this nut job's "version" of events, but claimed they had not reached out to Dr. Novy yet. I spoke with both Dr. Novy and Dr. Kobell when this first happened. Their hands are tied. They have no control over this person or her unprofessional, ugly, nasty behavior. And because no one else has taken the time to complain about this nut, the corporation is backing their employee. I expected at the very least an apology for her screamfest at our expense and did not get it. Although we have great respect for the education, training, experience, and what both doctors have done for our girl, we will NOT support a corporation owned vet practice because of this! This uneducated, untrained, disrespectful, unprofessional, lunatic has access to our personal information, our credit cards, and lives in our subdivision! This employee is a liability! Pet Parents Beware! This corporation cares only about the bottom dollar! GO ELSEWHERE!

I noticed one of our kitten's third eye was showing heavily and she was sneezing a lot. The front desk receptionist and vet tech that was working were extremely friendly/professional. However, I was completely unimpressed with the vet. We were shown to a room and while we were waiting she walked up and down the hallway several times before popping her head in and said she had no idea where she was supposed to be or what number they were on before walking away again. I found it pretty odd/random that she had no idea how their system worked and that she came in just to make that known. After 30 min of walking back and forth the vet walked into the room next to ours and started assisting a woman who had come in an after us. I mentioned it to my gf and I think the vet tech must have heard me because she told the vet she was in the wrong room. All of this could have been overlooked had her bedside manner not been so abhorring. While I was telling her what we had observed she didn't ask any questions or offer any insight into the things we had mentioned. Finally she said it might be an upper respiratory infection and I asked how she might have gotten that. She completely ignored my question and when I asked again the vet tech said it's similar to the flu for cats and she could have caught it at the shelter we adopted her from. I asked if she would be okay and the tech said yes. The vet chimed in and said " Well... maybe not. It could get really severe and she could end up dying". Who the hell delivers information like that?! She wrote out a prescription and when I asked her about her eye she said there was nothing wrong with them. I pointed out her third eye covers half of her eye. She didn't even bother to glance at it and again insisted she was fine and the medicine she was prescribing would help. At this point I was so frustrated because I felt like this was a waste of money and time. First she says our kitten could end up dying and then she says there is nothing wrong but she's gonna give us medicine to help with whatever is going on. She had not answered or addressed any of my questions or concerns, barely made eye contact and brushed off anything I told her. We got the medicine and she also had us pay for cats treats that we didn't need and voiced that we did not want. After all this our kitty got worse and we took her to the Lutz Animal Hospital. The vet was shocked that we weren't given anything for her eyes since one of them was now completely closed and crusty. We got the appropriate medicine and thankfully our baby is fine now. Save yourself some time and money and go to a better hospital. It may be a little more expensive but at least you'll get the answers you need, the appropriate medicine and a caring and knowledgeable doctor. -5 stars.
