It was built in partnership with Shane's Inspiration (if you've been to Griffith Park, it's the same organization). So, many of the park features are universally accessible. The playground area is spacious and a wonderful safe space for children. There are some climbing areas and slides for toddler age but the larger playground is great for preschool-elementary age. There isn't a ton of shade so bring hats and sunscreen! There are some benches scattered around the park and a few tables outside of the gated area. There is a private lot and street parking. They have bathrooms and they are fairly clean!

But we saw lots of birds and ducks! It's a lovely place with a long boardwalk that meanders around. We thought the entrance near the water plant was very stinky but as we walked past it we didn't smell it anymore. I've been to this park probably 50+ times at this point (it's a popular youth soccer game spot)…read more Pros: - Cheap parking (even if you just want to walk to the boardwalk, it's a decent value). - Fantastic soccer field (easily the biggest selling point of the park). - The surrounding businesses are amazing. A local community figure and soccer training coach is nearby (Pana) and he's a genuinely amazing/positive influence on the kids. Neutral: - Sometimes people without housing can frequent the area. They generally respect boundaries and I don't think I've ever felt unsafe but it's just something to keep in mind. - There's no lighting on the field at night and parking has minimal lighting as well. I'd recommend planning to leave by nightfall. Again, I've always felt safe but it's just better to be cautious. - The restrooms are average for a park (not great, but also not bad). Example, the stall in the men's restroom doesn't have a door. Cons: - None.
