There is a lot of room to spread out your bean bag games and have a water balloon toss. They even have a ball field if your group wants to hit the ball around. The covered pavilion fits about a dozen picnic tables to have a place for everyone to sit and eat, and stay out of the sun or rain. They also provide a large built in barbeque stand at the pavilion. There are basketball courts for those that wish to play, and a playground for the young kids to have something to do while the oldsters just catch up. There is also a large building when you enter the park where they have restrooms (very clean with soap and dryers), vending machines, and water fountains. This is really a nice park and is well maintained and kept up. Give it a try.

Currently they are redoing that area and it should be really nice when they are done. Redar park has a lot of events in the spring, summer and fall months. There is a lot to do with families for free so keep an eye open for advertising.

Just south of 30 between Burr and Cline it is easy to get to. Plenty of parking and is adjacent to the baseball fields. You can also catch some soccer games here. Lovely ponds attract birds and the playground keeps the kids busy for hours. This is even a Pokémon stop and you can catch some good ones here. If you are in the area and want to take a break I highly recommend this park.

Both kids complained of being hit by other kids(not in a playful way). Got called names with no disciplinary action was taken by counselors( which I thought were trainers). Also if structure means chaos then they nailed it. 2. All aspects training. My kids told me at no point did they train. Any baseball activities were basically just like ..here hit ball or here caught the ball. 3. Small groups. Only 11 kids so that wasn't too bad. But should've been easier to handle with less chaos. 4.High energy skills stations. Again very little baseball was taught. 5. Games and competitions. They played dodge ball which I guess improve throwing lol All and all it was a sht show. We canceled the 3 remaining days and were refunded. Also apparently the main problem child doing the hitting and name called was the owner/mangers kid. Which is probably why it happened with no consequence. I can't say anything about the equipment but I'm sure if this is how it's run. It'll have plenty of problems in the near future.

Heat index was above 100 degrees. There is no shade structures, trees or way to get out of the sun. And everywhere you looked all you saw was signs banning coolers. What the heck are they thinking? Really, honestly, I'm still trying to figure this one out.

They have a couple of large parking lots there to stash your vehicle while visiting. One of the main entrances is right past one of the Tinley Park fire stations. Many paved trails to walk around the lake, with a high route and a low route to vary up the scenery. On the high elevation they have a number of picnic tables and the like for those that want to have a meal. They also have a large playground there for the kids to keep busy while the parents chill. The lower route is mainly for jogging and walking ... although you'll find a lot of bikes in the area also. At the other end you'll find baseball and soccer fields, skateboard, and basketball too. They also have a little dock off which you can fish. Be forewarned - no dogs allowed, which is good for some people and not so much for others. This is a sort of difficult kind of place to find, but that keeps it a treasure.

There is also the really fun Silo room which we are using for pictures. Almost everything you need to know about the meeting rooms is on the website. A quick call to the administrative office can answer any other questions.The staff there is really friendly and extremely helpful. They also have many great ideas to make your event great. I strongly recommend this to anyone that needs a meeting and event space. You can rent out one of the picnic areas in addition to the indoor meeting space. That is what we are doing for the ceremony. Extra Tip: Walk around the property, there is a ton of great picture moments, look at the fairway on hole 1 and 17 of the frisbe golf course. There is a great picture perfect moment.

In 1984 it received it's current name, for the priest who established St. Barnabas Church nearby, and presided there for over 20 years. Hurley Park is a couple blocks away from the 99th Street Metra station. It has quite a lot of acreage compared to most Chicago parks that aren't Lincoln or Jackson Parks, but that's what you get here in the far south side! There is a playground here, as well as a "natural area", a small woodland section of the park featuring native plants and trees.
