To their credit, they reached out to 3 different technicians in my local area and tried their best to remotely find a solution to the problem. They then offered to fly out their local trusted technician, but I declined. It was a frustrating overall experience for me, but they've been respectful in their communication and followed through in making sure I was either satisfied with my piano or got a full refund. ----- I'm in middle of a dispute with the owners Jonathan and Charlie. I purchased a piano last year from out of state and it's been nothing but trouble since the beginning. They've hired 3 different technicians and have visited my home 7 times and can't fix the dampening issue. I've asked for a refund which they've refused. This current technician has been unresponsive for over a month and Jonathan and Charlie can't seem bothered to resolve this. I'm filing a civil suit next week if there isn't any progress. Then I decided to buy a used acoustic grand piano. it was between Steinway & Sons and Kawai. Dave suggested a Boston 6' 4" grand because it is designed by Steinway and built by Kawai. It also had a wireless PianoDisc player system in it. I was so impressed that I bought it and kept my Digital Piano as well. I use both instruments now. Dave was extremely helpful in all of this. He had a large selection of brand new and used instruments for me to choose from. He helped me fulfill a lifelong dream of mine to learn and own a quality piano.

He conducted a thorough inspection and provided helpful background information about the piano maker and model, giving us a better understanding of the instrument. Anthony and his assistant John were a pleasure to work with throughout the process. On the day of the move, they took great care to ensure the piano would fit safely through the kitchen and in the elevator, paying close attention to wall and cabinet corners. The piano was secured and transported in a Bayfront Piano trailer outfitted exclusively for instrument moving. As with Bayfront Piano!! We referred to Bayfront by our well regarded piano tuner. My wife's experience from setting up the appointment and scheduling in a tight moving window on short notice was pleasant and flawless. I must apologize I was under orders NOT to take pictures as my wife did not even want to be watching as her baby (claw & ball mahogany 2004 baby grand Pramberger I bought for her birthday - not saying which one :-) ) was being extracted from one home and delivered to the next about 2 miles away. (I had to take one just now as we are still un-packing and my wife is asleep (snicker) ) She was a wreck the whole time. I suspect the way I felt when my 7 ton sailboat was in the crane straps 30 feet in the air being splashed in the water each season - but I digress) Anthony and his crew skillfully and delicately/surgically maneuvered the 600+ pound instrument and transported it to our home. From tools, fixtures, transports/carts, handling mechanisms, trailer/hitch, vehicles - you can tell this is a well "tuned" mission with military precision, safety, and care. It was also the hottest day so far in 2022 with temps in the 90s and a heat index over 100. What a truly exceptional and wonderful experience. Mike has such a high technical level of expertise, that I didn't for one minute feel the need to have a third party inspect the wonderful piano that he was selling, which is standard practice, I am told. For a week I kept following up and finally got a note from Greg that the reason Clark didn't call was because plans had changed and they would not be picking it up. Apparently Clark didn't have the decency or integrity to let me know they would not be picking up the piano and with an upcoming house closing this was very upsetting. Thank goodness I spoke with The Piano Guys who have come for the piano. Pritchards Pianos is not recommended for their lack of integrity.

It arrived buzzing and playing like crap with repairs that were never mentioned. There are glue gobbs in various places and seams, high action and chunks missing in the nut. They described it as great playing, amazing, professional setup, etc. The nut issues cause it to buzz when strumming. When I requested a return I was told I would have to pay return shipping per their policy. I understand a policy, but when something arrives in such bad shape they should work to make things right. I will dispute the charge with my financial institution since they refused to make it right after I gave them the chance.
