This is the main library in St Albans city centre and is on the 2nd floor of The Maltings. It is right next to The Maltings' car park. The library is on one floor and has approximately 20 computers for public use, a children's section and a main area split into fiction and non-fiction.
The staff are quite helpful and can order a book for you if they don't have it there. As with many libraries it has some very old books there and not some newer titles in the non-fiction although I believe there is a regular, if small, influx of new titles in the fiction section. They run a toddler group once a week where the children are read some books. Despite the building not being so old the library does have a tired feel to it. read more
