I give 0 stars to Central Hotel-Apart if I could.
We reserved May 30 - June 8, 2020 before COVID hit the United States (South Carolina). We originally requested a refund from this hotel, but they refused to give us a refund - only a credit. We still wanted to move forward with our vacation once COVID cases would allow us, so we agreed to the credit extension for 2021 (big mistake!).
It is now August 2021. Germany only *recently* opened its borders back to the US travelers in June 20, 2021. Our family's vacation time has already passed for the year 2021. To top things off, my husband and I are both nurses who work for the US Government hospital and we are beginning to start our second wave of a COVID spike with the Delta variant; therefore, we are not able to leave our jobs.
We requested, almost pleaded, to have our credits be extended to 2022, but Central Hotel-Apart refuses to extend our credits or give us a refund!
Disappointed is an understatement right now. My family lived in Germany for almost 10 years and we still have family there, so I consider it a second home.
Hard lesson learned for our future travels - make reservations with "international hotels" vs local ones because Customer Service is irrational here in Central Hotel-Apart. We are out of the window frame to dispute charges with our Credit Card, which I'm sure this hotel was hoping for. read more
