The Doner is by far the best one I have eaten so far in Frankfurt. Tasty meat, good veggies and a fantastic, homemade hot, red chili paste (some kind of Turkish Sambal Olek). Central Grill serves up plenty of happy food in large portions with great variety. Since my wife said she definitely didn't "want a sandwich" it meant I had the Döners all to myself. The details are what made this place a bit special (it's all about product differentiation these days). The bread for my 4 EUR Doner Kebab had a chewiness to it that was new to me and I've had doner kebab from NYC to Italy to Africa, so I'd consider this texture something delightfully unusual. Every drop of orange grease from the meat gets absorbed by this fluffy bread. There are two sauces that are applied. The spicy sauce is only mild, so don't worry about any pain upon wiping, if you know what I mean. The service could be faster as the one-man-show does spend time chatting with his frequent friends and they don't seem to mind interrupting him as they loiter about the shop. Another minor note is that the restrooms are in an unmarked staircase that descends into a dark abyss before automatic lights illuminate the tiny bathroom area well after you've encroached on the space, so I recommend turning on your cell phone flashlight before descending.
