It was my third and last time there. Everything was bad. The second time, after putting on the…read morebleach, Becky (the "master") left - it was the end of her working day (5pm). The other ladies missed the time and eventually burned my hair. And scalp. I took some time to recover and worst part came up only after leaving the salon - therefore, believing in second chances, learning from mistakes, experience accumulation, I came back today for the third time. The same "master" pretended to care, still convinced to use bleach. I told her about the last time - so she was warned. Even though I asked to be BLONDE, which is NOT white. They are professionals - take a look at the hair. Do you see the colour? Ask the client - do you want to change? Keep it the same? Even if you do not know, that GOLDEN is ALSO BLONDE, you do not have to invent anything... Becky pretended well enough, but when the time came (after another lady blow dried the hair), she did not even show up to see the result. Well, surprise surprise... Result was white lifeless hair, coloured in spots. On top of everything else, "blow dry lady" knew nothing about the chemicals she was using - the chemicals that the salon staff is supposed to be trained to work with and sell. So she used label.m leave in conditioner and label.m blow dry spray, after which my hair looked like straw...pile of hay...or a carton wig. I did not write review while being there just because I had to run home to wash it. After washing it once, the feeling of hay is still there (not as strong, though), even after using three different types of oil (normally, I would already be cooking pancakes on my head after such a treatment). I tried to ask her about the cosmetics she used: 1. She did not even understand my questions (or tried to understand what I want to do with my hair). 2. She had no competence to suggest any product or explain how to use it. So no, I have tried also label.m three products (I bought curl spray), and I firmly believe they are all bad. Whose fault is that? Is it definitely bad product? Not necessarily. Why would they allow not trained "professionals" sell it - got no clue. Really... If you want to spend you money for hair - do not do that at High Wycombe Toni&Guys.

Toni & Guy has been in High Wycombe for over a decade now and is a well established salon, which is…read moreoften busy salon, so always best to book in advance. The salon does occasionally offer 25% off when bookings are down - watch out for the text message offers. There's also student days available from Monday to Wednesday if you don't mind putting your hair in the hands of trainees. If you do opt for this, then be prepared to stay in the salon for 3 to 4 hours depending on what you opt for. Generally, hair cuts are fine, there's not much creative flair as everyone is trained the Toni & Guy way. You'll need to go to a different salon if you want something outstanding and different.
