I was gifted a 60 minute Swedish massage Groupon and my husband scheduled my appointment with Randy. Parking was plentiful on a Saturday afternoon and the small location easy to find. Randy did mention that they are moving locations next week, however. Intake form was standard. Randy reviewed the form and asked a few questions before allowing time to get on the table. Small touches to the amenities were very nice, such as hooks for bags, a bin for glasses and keys, hair ties provided should you have forgotten your own, and peppermint oil on the face cradle. Randy managed to work on my noted problem areas while completing a full body Swedish within the 60 minutes. He was not chatty, but checked in a few times which I appreciate. He has a good sense of pressure and corrected for some bilateral imbalance in tension, which many massage therapists do not do. Towards the end, warm towels were used on my back and legs to remove excess oil, and I was given a cloth after to remove any excess massage oil. After getting dressed Randy debriefed me on aligning my hip and gave some recommendations about switching sides while carrying my son to avoid imbalance. Overall I was very happy with the experience and would return. Massage is not something I often make time for, but the experience was both relaxing and physically therapeutic here. Well worth the time and expense. I would definitely recommend trying this place out. The only unfortunate part was that my husband was also given a Groupon and was told he could not use it because they moved locations. He had to have his sister call Groupon to reimburse. read more

Our quilt guild held a sewing retreat in the Carmel area and we decided to offer our participants chair massages to relieve some of the sore muscles from sitting at our sewing machines for 3 days. Randy and Donna came to us with their equipment (chair and table) and conducted massages in the open air for almost our entire group. They were professional and courteous, and the massages were great. It was a huge hit and we plan to have them back at our retreat this year! Thanks so much! read more

The absolute best massage available anywhere!! Donna is an amazingly talented massage therapist and she continues to amaze me each time I see her at Central Coast Massage in Carmel by the Barnyard Shopping Center. My recent treatment left me floating and relieved from my pains. That's why my Wife and I both see her on a regular basis and will continue to so into the future. You will thank your body when you receive your first massage and when you returnfor your second, third, fourth and,,,,, read more

So earlier today the baby doll wife and I headed out to Carmel barnyard area for our massage appointments with Donna... Let me tell you her skill set is second to none! The wife and I had deep tissue treatments for our beat up run down shells lol.. Donna is on point and knows your exact problem areas with little input from you. I read someone else's review that mention that she has "Magic Hands." Without a doubt I agree with that assessment. My wife has this issue with people touching her, but today, Donna did her magic and happened to make the wife fall asleep. The kids and i walked in and were waiting for the wife to walk out thinking she was changing. So after talking to Donna for a few minutes about my anticipated session she went back behind the curtains to check on the wife and found her knocked out... Lol! Yeah that good!! My massage was nothing short of that either. I've had deep tissue treatments before and hated it. However, Donna changed my mind by showing me that alot can be done to fix your issues without feeling like you went through a meat tenderizer. She knows the exact pressure points to press and reads your body before and during your treatment. Donna is a sweetheart and has a very kind hearted demeanor. Her office is located upstairs and is available by appointments. Her husband is a massage therapist there as well. I almost not wanted to write this review because I wanted to keep this place and Donna's "Magic Hands" a secret, but a gift like hers needs to be shared. Donna you do gods work...my hats off to you! If you're looking for an awesome massage therapist look no further and book your appointment with her now. read more

Donna laid her healing hands on my creaky body and when she was done I floated out of her office feeling rejuvenated. Donna incorporated Swedish and deep tissue techniques expertly depending on which muscles needed particular attention. The office is very clean and comfortable. Japanese Zen music played quietly in the background. This was a truly healing, soothing professional massage and I intend to repeat this experience again very soon. read more

My husband booked at Central Coast Massage for he and myself months ago, despite my undesire to get undressed and receive a massage from a stranger. FAST FORWARD to present, this will be the 4th visit and counting .... 3 from Ms. Donna and 1 from Randy. If you know me, I'm not the touchy feel-y type nor am I one who verbalizes anything at all -- the quintessential introvert. By just looking at my body structure, posture and way of life Donna already knew where my trouble spots were. Being a Mother to 4 children, a Deputies Wife and full time RN -- time is of the essence and the hour that you spend with Donna and or Randy is time well spent. Donna is knowledgeable with a no BS attitude, which is a definite plus. She will tell you like it is, tell you what you need to work on and what bad habits you need to get rid of. I always get the deep tissue massage and with the stress of everyday life, kids, old sports injuries and work -- my body needs it. NOTE: Deep tissue, means DEEP TISSUE -- this is not a sissy lala massage or an oil rub down. Best massage ever ... Randy, is Donna's apprentice and also is definitely following in her footsteps. I've noticed that both have similar techniques -- which is a very good thing. Why reinvent the wheel, right? With the monthly massages, I have less tension, less headaches, less body aches and sleep has been so much better. Both Donna and Randy are truly amazing ... you will not get a better massage anywhere else on the Central Coast and that statement coming from me says quite a lot. Bravo Ms. Donna and Randy, my husband can't thank you enough ( can't get him to stop making appointments ) and I can't thank you enough for rejuvenation. See you in a couple weeks! read more

Dona was very proffessional and effective to help with identifying the reasons for my back and leg pain. She approached the massage with the mindset as a physical therapist to teach me things so I could learn for myself long term. Overall, she has many techniques that gave me more relief in one hr compared to many massages in the past. Dona also made the experience very relaxed and calm. Thanks Dona! read more

Donna was terrific! She hit spots unknown to me. She spent nearly five minutes just 'sensing' my body. I have aches, pains and Parkinson's. Donna is beyond a 'massage therapist', she's a healer. Her techniques are calming and energizing. My aches I used a GROUPON for her 'basic Swedish massage' - this was NO 'basic any kind of massage' ~~ simply lovely. read more

Donna is one of the best if not THE BEST masseuse on the peninsula. She combines technical expertise with an amazing capacity for intuiting the body's problems and pains. I have seen her for everything from general anti-stress and relaxation massage, to post-surgery recovery and rehabilitation massage. I know it's a cliche to say she has "magic" in her hands....but she does. Her knowledge of the body is impressive, her technique is stellar and her calm demeanor and compassionate style is heartfelt. Don't waste your time and money "hoping" you'll get a good massage...she is THE REAL DEAL. Go, you won't be sorry. read more

Thank you Randy for the AMAZING work you did on my aching body!! I was super sore and tight from my recent move and you released all the tension in my traps. I feel SO MUCH BETTER now!!! And thank you for incorporating doTERRA Essential Oils into my massage!! They really enhanced the massage! I cannot recommend you highly enough. I will be a regular customer!!! read more

Exactly what we needed! My wife and I purchased the groupon deal, Dang what a great deal. My wife and I were on our Babymoon (I apologize I hate this term) before the birth of our second son. They charged us no extra for prenatal massage and both of us loved our services! Will go back next time we are in town!! read more

I had a Swedish massage from Randy - very relaxing! Awesome music, heated table were very welcome on a cold, rainy afternoon.

My wife and I went to see Donna and Randy as a part of our 20th Wedding Anniversary weekend. We decided to go based on the yelp reviews. The location is almost hidden. If you did not know where it was you would miss it. The office itself was not a fancy 5 star spa where you pay for the decor, it was functional. Now to Donna. I can only speak for Donna as we had a 90 minute couples massage and Donna worked on me. I would consider myself a bit of a massage snob. Very few masseuses can get the pressure right and avoid my broken bits. I like a fairly deep tissue massage and am pretty tolerant to firm pressure as I know the benefits that come from someone that knows what they are doing. I can say whole wholeheartedly that this was the best massage I have ever had. Donna was very adept at finding the right places to work on and I can say without a doubt she put all of her experience into making my body work again. She absolutely earned her very reasonable fee. As I mentioned this was part of a very special weekend for my wife and I and it could have not started any better. We don't go to the Monterrey/Carmel area that often, typically we head to Santa Cruz as we live in San Jose but I can say that we will be stopping by Central Coast Massage every time we make it that way in future. read more

I've had two massages by Randy and they have genuinely been some of the best I've ever had. I opted for the 90 min restorative deep tissue. The stretches he incorporates are so soothing. I also love all of the extra touches that are sometimes missing from other studios: massage table warmer, peppermint oil on my head rest, eye mask. I also appreciate that he uses a hot towel to wipe off the body oil before the session ends. I highly recommend Randy's work! read more

Donna is seriously gifted, trustworthy, hilarious, and incredibly intuitive. Donna has been my only massage therapist for the last three years and I am so happy to have found someone with excellent reliability, prices, and cleanliness. I also love that I can book online. I had my second massage with Donna yesterday and want to let others know of the resource she is for the community. I came looking for help adapting to my increasingly active life with an older body protesting in various ways. She immediately saw the alignment work needed, gave me tips to implement at home and is working the issues on her massage table. Some may call what she is doing for me massage, but I call her a master bodyworker. I encourage you to give her a try. read more

After a busy week of traveling, lecturing, and lugging books, my body was aching. I was fortunate to find an available slot for massage by Randy Ferguson of Central Coast Massage before starting on yet another journey. Randy is professional and talented. He combined several techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, and Himalayan plus included stretches that eliminated the pain. His pressure was perfect as he worked each muscle. The location is on Carmel Rancho Road, only a ten minutes from downtown Carmel-by-the Sea. Next time I'm in Carmel, I will definitely be back. read more

Donna Ferguson at CENTRAL COAST MASSAGE does not have an impressive accommodation but she does have impressive skill and strength. Hers is not a generic massage, she finds tight and sore places I did not realize I had. She has a high-tech electric heated table this is comfortable. I have been to many massage therapists in this area and she ranks with the very best, if not the best. I recommend her for my friends. Frank D. read more

Don't miss out on the best massage you could ever get! Donna is very good at what she does. I highly recommend her! I plan to see her regularly. She can look at your structure and stance and aid balance through massage and stretching. Something I didn't know people could even do! She helped get major knots out of my back, stretch out my shorter leg and balance my hip all in one visit! I would also bring my teenagers to her. She is so reasonably priced for the specialty she offers. Go see her! read more

I had a massage with Randy the other night and it was wonderful. It was one of the most relaxing massages I have had and since I prefer a soft massage it was perfect as I never felt discomfort. Just to reiterate my earlier praise. I just went to see Donna and was in pain, quite frankly. She fixed it. Bam! Donna's therapeutic massage is like no other I've experienced - and I've had quite a few massages, believe me. I have had a LOT of massages in my life as I suffer from a connective tissue disorder and have debilitating chronic pain. Well, this was definitely one of the best massages I have ever had. In fact, I don't think I've actually felt pain relief from massage that lasts more than a few hours and yet after seeing Donna yesterday the next day I am still pain free in many places. Donna is truly remarkable, more than a massage therapist really. She's very knowledgeable about body mechanics and injuries, in addition to being very compassionate, and if you are in pain and actually want relief, you need to go see her. Her space is very simple and no frills, which is what I like. I don't want my chakras balanced and my chi centered and all that nonsense - I want to feel relief. And Donna delivered. And her prices are exceptionally reasonable, especially for Carmel. Thank you so much Donna!!! I only wish I lived closer! read more

I was lucky enough to meet Donna about a year ago. I've had chronic back pain for many years and have had massages from dozens of massage therapists, and Donna was far and above the best. After our session that day I felt better than I had in years! She was able to identify problems with my spine and muscle groups that everyone else had missed. Her knowledge and skill is well above anyone else I've experienced, which is why I now see her regularly. In addition, she's a sweet and caring person who I know is truly concerned for the well being of all her clients. I will continue to go back for a long time. read more

I got a sports massage from Donna today and it was amazing! I have been doing CrossFit for about 3 months and I had so many knots and kinks. I felt like a whole new person when I left today. She had a full schedule but squeezed me in this morning and I was very grateful. I highly recommend Central Coast Massage!! read more

Randy was warm and pleasant. I truly enjoyed my massage. I wish I had longer than an hour to continue. Thank you.

Really great massage, a healer, book online is awesome, loved! Will rebook!

Wow. I've had massages from numerous people over the years (I try to get massages weekly) and I've never had a better massage. I went in stiff and sort of bent over after a Century ride the week before and I left with a spring in my step. I even managed to get my shoes on without a contortion! She really knows her muscles and just how much pressure to use. I'm sold! read more

Randy does amazing work. I suffer from chronic neck pain and stiffness due to tension all around my neck, shoulders, back and chest (the usual desk job woes). I was in town for a few days and was overdue for some relief. Randy squeezed in a 60 min therapeutic on very short notice, and it was one of the most effective hours of massage I've ever had. It started out quite gentle and soothing, but ramps up gradually to deep tissue. He mixes in various techniques, and it was just the right amount of "good" pain followed by relief. I feel so much better and will definitely be sure to schedule another session next time I'm in town. Thanks Randy! read more

Great experience at CCM! Randy asked about and listened to my expectations, sensitivities, and preferences. I can be a difficult client because I have knots and tensions that need work, but I don't tolerate deep pressure well. Randy found just the right balance and pressure to be both therapeutic and relaxing. I also appreciated a couple of details that I haven't received at other massage treatments: peppermint oil on the face rest for easier breathing and a cloth for wiping excess lotion at the end. It's the little things! I'll definitely be back and recommend them to others. read more
