I was gifted a 60 minute Swedish massage Groupon and my husband scheduled my appointment with Randy. Parking was plentiful on a Saturday afternoon and the small location easy to find. Randy did mention that they are moving locations next week, however. Intake form was standard. Randy reviewed the form and asked a few questions before allowing time to get on the table. Small touches to the amenities were very nice, such as hooks for bags, a bin for glasses and keys, hair ties provided should you have forgotten your own, and peppermint oil on the face cradle. Randy managed to work on my noted problem areas while completing a full body Swedish within the 60 minutes. He was not chatty, but checked in a few times which I appreciate. He has a good sense of pressure and corrected for some bilateral imbalance in tension, which many massage therapists do not do. Towards the end, warm towels were used on my back and legs to remove excess oil, and I was given a cloth after to remove any excess massage oil. After getting dressed Randy debriefed me on aligning my hip and gave some recommendations about switching sides while carrying my son to avoid imbalance. Overall I was very happy with the experience and would return. Massage is not something I often make time for, but the experience was both relaxing and physically therapeutic here. Well worth the time and expense. I would definitely recommend trying this place out. The only unfortunate part was that my husband was also given a Groupon and was told he could not use it because they moved locations. He had to have his sister call Groupon to reimburse. read more

The wife and I had deep tissue treatments for our beat up run down shells lol.. Donna is on point and knows your exact problem areas with little input from you. Donna laid her healing hands on my creaky body and when she was done I floated out of her office feeling rejuvenated. FAST FORWARD to present, this will be the 4th visit and counting .... 3 from Ms. Donna and 1 from Randy. If you know me, I'm not the touchy feel-y type nor am I one who verbalizes anything at all -- the quintessential introvert. By just looking at my body structure, posture and way of life Donna already knew where my trouble spots were. Being a Mother to 4 children, a Deputies Wife and full time RN -- time is of the essence and the hour that you spend with Donna and or Randy is time well spent. Donna is knowledgeable with a no BS attitude, which is a definite plus. She will tell you like it is, tell you what you need to work on and what bad habits you need to get rid of. I always get the deep tissue massage and with the stress of everyday life, kids, old sports injuries and work -- my body needs it. My wife and I went to see Donna and Randy as a part of our 20th Wedding Anniversary weekend. We decided to go based on the yelp reviews. The location is almost hidden. If you did not know where it was you would miss it. The office itself was not a fancy 5 star spa where you pay for the decor, it was functional. Now to Donna. I can only speak for Donna as we had a 90 minute couples massage and Donna worked on me. I would consider myself a bit of a massage snob. Very few masseuses can get the pressure right and avoid my broken bits. I like a fairly deep tissue massage and am pretty tolerant to firm pressure as I know the benefits that come from someone that knows what they are doing. I can say whole wholeheartedly that this was the best massage I have ever had. Donna was very adept at finding the right places to work on and I can say without a doubt she put all of her experience into making my body work again. She absolutely earned her very reasonable fee. As I mentioned this was part of a very special weekend for my wife and I and it could have not started any better. We don't go to the Monterrey/Carmel area that often, typically we head to Santa Cruz as we live in San Jose but I can say that we will be stopping by Central Coast Massage every time we make it that way in future. read more

I've had two massages by Randy and they have genuinely been some of the best I've ever had. I opted for the 90 min restorative deep tissue. The stretches he incorporates are so soothing. I have had a LOT of massages in my life as I suffer from a connective tissue disorder and have debilitating chronic pain. Well, this was definitely one of the best massages I have ever had. In fact, I don't think I've actually felt pain relief from massage that lasts more than a few hours and yet after seeing Donna yesterday the next day I am still pain free in many places. Donna is truly remarkable, more than a massage therapist really. Great experience at CCM! Randy asked about and listened to my expectations, sensitivities, and preferences. I can be a difficult client because I have knots and tensions that need work, but I don't tolerate deep pressure well. Randy found just the right balance and pressure to be both therapeutic and relaxing. I also appreciated a couple of details that I haven't received at other massage treatments: peppermint oil on the face rest for easier breathing and a cloth for wiping excess lotion at the end. Randy does amazing work. I suffer from chronic neck pain and stiffness due to tension all around my neck, shoulders, back and chest (the usual desk job woes). I was in town for a few days and was overdue for some relief. Randy squeezed in a 60 min therapeutic on very short notice, and it was one of the most effective hours of massage I've ever had. It started out quite gentle and soothing, but ramps up gradually to deep tissue. He mixes in various techniques, and it was just the right amount of "good" pain followed by relief.
