I went in for a physical earlier in the week and specifically needed a TB test with it. told me I didn't need to fast since it's a bloodwork type of TB test. Appointment went fine, I get call with my results and when I ask about the TB, no one sent it in for a TB and they got all defensive when I asked. So, now this delays a job for me since I needed this TB test to start and I need to get re tested because of their error. Extremely unprofessional there with no sympathy or apologies. This practice used to be great. New office manager in past number of years, now charges are ridiculous for every little thing and seems like a super control freak!!!! Dr. Rachel Polish is pushy, opinionated, and downright wrong in her medical views about the things we discussed. She cannot tolerate being challenged, she curses, and is very unprofessional. If you want a doctor who will see you as an intelligent and knowledgeable person and who is willing to collaborate and not control you, then GO ELSEWHERE. I would never again go to her or entrust her with the care of my big toe! Also, if you raise a concern about this doctor, the office manager just tells you to go somewhere else. My husband and I have been with practice for almost fifteen years. We have had prompt, good care. I love their same day appointment policy. Dr. Laphan, new Dr. Gorham and Dr. Leucun are truly helpful. I read some of the reviews about some challenging situations with the staff and I understand. I believe this problem has been rectified. The medical care is great. The doctors listen and are responsive and caring. We are glad we found them and we will continue with them. Dr. Laphan feels like a friend after all these years and I was truly impressed with Dr. A. Nathan Gorham. Thanks for all your help through the years. read more

I've been a patient here for over ten years. Dr. Lewcun is excellent! He has given me excellent care. Most people usually go to an md to see a specialist, in my case the opposite usually happens. I've been going to this practice on and off for about 10 years.There are a few decent doctors, although they each have their own idiosyncrasies. Dr. Lappen is the best of the bunch, as far as I've seen. He tests, investigates and finds a solution! Many specialist are not even capable of this!! i.E. "Gastrointestinal Associates" who was trying to kill me." Now, unfortunately the receptionists and Nurses leave a lot to bedesireed. Yes, a few of the nurses are fine, good even. However it is the sour apples that ruin the bunch! Dr. Lewcun & Co. get a hold on your staff..they will ruin this practice! They are rude, nasty, and completely oblivious to what's actually going on around them. Case in point, I was in the emergency room for nearly 10 hours last night. Once I was finally brought back to be seen by a doctor, I thought I would call my family doctor, "Dr. Lewcun":, to make sure he was aware of what was going on. when I called the office, reception picked up. I told them I was in the ER, and I wanted to leave a message for Dr. Lewcun. She proceeds to tell me that she will transfer me to a nurse "I asked her why". I don't need the nurse, this is not for an appointment, as this is the way they normally operate with appts. She wouldn't relent. Back to the nurses without even realizing it. (nice- good job!) Awoman starts runnng her mouth, I found it It's Angelica - worst nurse ever. wHAT A NASTY PIECE OF WORK, 'TELLING ME NO, ITS NOT OKAY" WHO IN THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE TALKING TO?? Rude, unkind, and very disrespectful! I don't know who she thought she was talking to?? Then telling me that she WILL NOIT give my doctor the message//!! You have no power. This nurse is not capable of making medical decisions where I'm concerned! Or anyone else for that matter.I 'm a patient. Have been for a very long time. This is not how you treat people. It's always the same - the Self-absorbed, Self-centered millennial with a huge chip on the shoulder!! It's unprofessional, discourteous, and overall UNACCEPTIBLE!! I have been a patient for close to 30 years. I love Dr. Robin. I have noticed changes throughout the years and I'm honestly not sure if it's the practice or govt control/ changes which ties the hands of these docs. I agree with the negative reviews about some of the office staff. I have received more then one call from the same person who comes across arrogant. I don't need for her to call me and explain my insurance to me but if she wants to discuss why they charged my insurance the way they did, ok. Proper communication is key. There has also been times when the office has been very compassionate and helpful. I would not let the neg reviews about the staff deter you. I started attending CB Family Practice for several months now since I changed my insurance. Overall, I am pleasantly content with their service. The facility I attend (Doylestown) is smaller and cozy, and I typically arrive 10 minutes before my appointment. I am usually seen in about 10 minutes, and setting up appointments is no hassle. My favorite thing about this place is that my doctor (Dr. Lewcum) is knowledgable, but also quick with his services. He takes his time answering my questions and making sure my needs are met, but it's a very to the point appointment. I recommend it to those who don't want an overly invasive doctor, but someone who knows his stuff. read more

Been going here for a few year's now and they're great. I'll call and leave a message the night before and they call me that next morning with an appointment ready for me it's great. I tell them when I get off work and they accommodate my schedule amazingly. They're very direct and to the point and not invasive, I go to whichever doctor has the first available appointment and I have no complains about any of them, they're all great! read more

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Robin for many years. She's excellent in our opinion, professional, caring and knowledgeable. We never wait more than around five or so minutes, and even if we were to wait, it gives us pleasure knowing she would extend that time to us, as well if we were in need of it. The office staff has always been friendly and professional. Of course, we are always friendly and professional to them as well and not rude and impatient. I was a previous patient , emphasis on previous. The dr I saw left in June and was great. However now I will never return to this practice. I had an incredibly hard time refilling a prescription that I ran out of because my requests were ignored. Than I started calling the office. I spent over an half an hour asking for a refill between the front desk and speaking to a nurse. Was told I had to make an appointment to renew which I was not previously told. I asked for a telemedicine appointment since right now I am taking care of my mom 24 hours 7 days a week and is in critical care. I was told no they cannot do that, saved for Covid patients. So it is possible, but not for my situation. The nurse agreed to renew for 30 days only and will not be renewed until I come in. I said ok. Well it was not called in like I was told and prompted yet another series of phone calls. I was told oh we have no record of your previous call, really, the very next day. This nurse would not renew even after I explained my extreme hardship. I spoke to the office manager and things only got worse with her. I was out of this medicine for several days already after they ignored the pharmacy requests to fill with no explanation until I reached out. The medicine is not a very strong anti depressant and during a time in my life that I needed to be on it, I could not get this renewed without being talked to like a moron, multiple calls and brought me to a breaking point in my life that I will not forget. So now I am searching for a new primary. I will never come here again!!!! read more

For one week now I've called to speak with a nurse 3xs each day to be placed on hold for 11mins before the phone would cut off. I even left a message for someone to call me back and still haven't heard from anyone in 4 days. The call is important to me because of a lab test that I recently did that has me concerned and wasn't addressed during the initial report of the lab results. Having gone through this with this practice. I don't feel confident they are skilled or prepared to care for my family. As the family decision maker on who cares for us, we are leaving. read more

I went to see Dr. Jeffrey Laphen a little over a year ago. We discussed a treatment for a condition that I have, but once he realized I did not live with my parents (I was 19 almost 20 at the time), he refused me treatment and told me he "[did] not want to be apart of this rebellious thing I [was] doing". He said the only way he said he would treat me was if I brought in one of my parents to talk to him. Which is a violation of my HIPPA. I did not realize until later that this was illegal of him and unfortunately I did not know to ask that he document his refusal to treat me and why. I was 19 almost 20, financially independent and living on my own. He should have given me the respect and time that I deserve. I cannot speak for the other doctors at this facility, but if you decide to make an appointment, make sure it's not with him. read more

While the doctors seem very good and I loved my doctor who unfortunately left the practice, the support staff is horrendous. They are rude, you get placed on hold forever and they are absolutely never pleasant. After going there for years, one day I needed change for a meter and went back in to ask if anyone had change and the response was, "do we look like a bank!" My doctor left the practice and I was never informed of the change. Instead I got medical records in the mail and when I called to ask why, then I was told. Having been in a car accident last week, I do not have an appt. at my new doctor until early May. That office told me my old doctor's office should see me. However, Central Bucks refused to see me because I had left the practice over 30 days ago. Absolutely disgusting. It's a shame that the support people can totally ruin it for the doctors! read more

The doctor himself that I have seen is this practice, great ! "Answers questions, spends adequate time to go over things as well as exam, etc". Office , small but clean Wait time, adequate (10 mins at most) , Office staff - "Just impossible to deal with". From appts, to med refills, etc Office Manager doesn't stack up either. Sad, since the doctor I've seen is a pretty good doctor ! Time to find different primary, "why do they always have staff like this"? Its ashame, cause the doctor is a good guy....doubt he or the other doctors, realizes the patients go through "way too much" with the office run around ! read more

Terrible office staff - extremely hard to work with and it feels like you have to kiss their butts to get anything you need done (appts, physicals, calls to the nurse/dr, etc). LOVED dr Laphen but the doylestown office feels very separated - the front office staff and the back medical staff. Tried to ignore the dread I would feel whenever I needed to contact the office since my kids had a good rapport with their doctor but after my last experience - no more! Attempted to make an appt with susan for my three boys with dr Laphen. In an annoyed tone, she told me that this was impossible although I was able to make their appts together last year. After what felt like pulling teeth since she didn't want to help me, I finally backed down and asked for my oldest to have his appt made for the 17th. When I came in for his appt, I was told it was actually scheduled for the 14th. When I responded frustrated, Tammy rudely cut me off and said "you're not going to get anything accomplished talking to me like that." I tried to calmly explain to her I was frustrated and she cut me off again and said I'm not dealing with you and got up and walked away. I asked to speak to the manager who was apparently on the phone at the time. After waiting about 10mins, seeing the manager's door open and Tammy talking with an older woman, I asked if the manager was off the phone. The office manager came to the window and said she was waiting to talk to the doctor to see if they could squeeze my son in. When I asked what time she said 5:45 (my appt was for 2:30). Without discussing anything with me first and keeping me waiting with no contact, I couldn't make that time work. Would've saved myself 20mins if she just talked to me first. And, to add insult to injury, when I explained I didn't receive a heads up call on the 13th if my appt was really scheduled for the 14th (I received 2 "make an appt for a flu shot" vms that week), the office manager responded with "Susan is very good about making that call of she said she did." My son was out of state that whole week looking at colleges with my husband - I can guarantee if I got that call I would've called in right away since he wasn't even in the state that whole week and it took 3 weeks to make that appt on the 17th. All in all, I'm sad to leave dr Laphen but we are still customers of your business, not just patients, and sorry to say but there's a plethora of other family practices in the area we can go to without all the bs it takes to go through the front staff at central bucks family practice. The irony of the whole situation is that another mom in the waiting room tapped me on the shoulder to agree with me that their front staff is unbelievably rude and unfriendly. If you're looking for a warm, fuzzy, welcoming feeling at your doctors office then don't come here ... Go somewhere far, far away!! read more

I try and call to make an appointment, the receptionist treated me as if I was an alien. When asked for the reason for my visit I said "personal" and then gave me an attitude that I needed to give her "details". You are not my physician and I do not need to give you that information. I've been using this practice for 10+ years and sadly have only seen these receptionists get their noses up about everything, every single time. If I didn't know Dr. Smith and Dr. Lewcun (great physicians) I would not come here based on the receptionists alone. With more and more choices in the healthcare arena I wish this practice would put more emphasis on customer service. read more

Go somewhere else!!! I have been 3 times and have seen 3 of their doctors for a lump and pain and pressure in my leg. The first time the doctor said she didn't feel anything and to take Advil. The second time I was told it was a lipoma and to just "not think about it." And the third (and last time I will ever be back there) Dr. Tafflin said, "I don't know and I don't think we are going to know what it is so I am just going to treat the symptoms."
