Krystal Ragone has always gone above, beyond and then some for our entire family. We all have policies with Dan Demory's office and Krystal has literally come to our aid in times of crisis and chaos. Some of her help was related to our insurance and the complexities we've experienced in our lives (illness, job loss and other stressful events). She provides a voice of comfort and an attitude of "Let's do this together - I'm here to help". When my mom was diagnosed with dementia and we were going through the process of issues related to her license, her automobile and all the struggles related to it, Krystal stepped up and advocated for us within an often complex insurance system and assisted us with resources to address some of our concerns. Our family has example after example of this kind of engagement and professionalism. I have trouble understanding so much in the insurance realm and she never once made me feel silly for needing a bit more help understanding my policy. She returns calls promptly and I honestly believe she has professional skills that just cannot be taught. She has a gift. We've been with her for approximately 10 years. I moved out of state a few times and missed her unique style of professionalism mixed and one-on-one care and concern. We consider Krystal a part of our family. That's how much impact she had on our lives. Thank you, Krystal for everything you've done for all of your clients over the years.

In June 2018, I called Lil Danny's office and requested that both my renter's and life insurance…read morepolicies be cancelled. His assistant expedited my request quickly and assured me that my policies were now cancelled. Shortly after, I received a call from him, declined it and listened to his voicemail later... it said, "Hey this is Dan Demory, just wanted to see what's going on. Give me a call back." Seeing as our business relationship was now terminated, I didn't feel the need to put myself through his pathetic sales speech. Fast forward 5 months later, I'm reviewing my bank statement and there's a charge from State Farm. I thought, surely, this must be a mistake and Danny Boy will refund the charges. While speaking to his assistant, they confirm that I did place a cancellation request on 6/13/2018. The assistant says he is unable to refund the premiums and puts Lil Danny on the line. He proceeds to explain to me that life insurance policies must be cancelled "in office." Fair enough, but why wasn't I informed of this sooner? His explanation? "I should've called him back." Lil Danny sounded like a pubescent high schooler that had his pride hurt. I asked why he did not bother to inform his assistant of this, inform me of this in his voicemail or make any further attempts to make me aware that my policies were not cancelled. Same response. It was not until later that I learned my renter's policy was still in effect. The renter's policy CAN be cancelled by phone, yet was not done so. This concludes me to believe that Lil Danny specifically instructed his assistant to not cancel my policies... directly opposing my wishes and defrauding me of 5 months worth of premiums. In the end, after complaints to State Farm and consumer protection agencies, my refund was granted. All it took was several hours of work and 3 months. Moral of the story is, if you have a policy with Lil Danny Demory, you better call him back immediately, whenever he calls. Or face the consequences of his fragile ego.

If you want to do business with a bank that doesn't manage the loan process, doesn't take…read moreresponsibility when problems arise and shifts blame to anyone and everyone else (including you), lies about what they can deliver, lies about what information they were aware of, and speaks rudely to you when you're trying to get information - by all means, give First Bank a call. We wish we never contacted First Bank for purchasing our home. From beginning to end, and beyond, it has been a complete and unmitigated disaster. Our real estate agent, who was wonderful, recommended Ron at First Bank to us. Based on her recommendation, we decided to contact him and get a quote for our home loan. During the process, we were VERY clear that we were purchasing a house that we would be COMPLETELY renovating, including redoing the plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems.Obviously, we wouldn't be able to live in the house until the renovations were completed. As the closing date approached, we were getting worried that we hadn't heard anything from the bank on closing costs, etc. No one was managing the process or keeping us informed on the status of the loan and closing. Two days before closing, we called our agent to see if she knew what was going on. She had to scramble to make sure the bank had everything in order for us to close. The lack of management and communication almost delayed the closing. After the house was purchased and renovations were underway, we reached out to Ron (despite the horrible closing experience) to find out about lower rates and the possibility of refinancing. Ron replied with a dismissive email, telling us to apply online to find out rates. Because he seemed to have no interest in doing our refinance, we (with a sense of relief) approached our previous lender. They offered us really good rates and, knowing we were still in renovations, said they could use the property assessment from our initial loan. They reached out to First Bank and hit a wall. FB refused to transfer the assessment to them, saying that they "couldn't" transfer the file - on an assessment we paid for. Ron, realizing he was going to lose out on his commission, suddenly became very interested and said he could beat their rates and get us refinanced in a couple of weeks. He also said he wouldn't need to pull our credit to do so. Since FB blocked our refinance with the other bank, we hesitantly moved forward with them. Well, Ron came back with higher interest rates. Oh, and his assurance that our credit wouldn't get hit again - well that was a lie as well. Still, we continued forward, looking to take advantage of the lower than our original loan rates. Then, the week we were supposed to close, Ron tells us that because we are renovating the house and not currently living in it, our refinance cannot close. When I called him to find out what was going on, he rudely snapped at me multiple times and rushed me off the phone. He later wrote a long email, claiming he knew NOTHING about the construction and trying to blame our insurance agent for causing the refinance to fall apart. Again - a complete lie in an effort to cover himself (we had documentation showing he knew - but probably just didn't care to pay attention). So yeah - lack of management and communication, lies, blame shifting, rudeness and disrespect...if that is what you are looking for in a lender, then First Bank is a perfect choice.
