I like the office itself; It has alot of room. The receptionists and intake are always so kind. I do wait when I arrive, but I don't know what's going on with the other children being seen and if it's taking a minute, they are probably focusing on each child which I can't complain about. The APRN's are great at least! My son now being 6 months old got sick, all they said was "just give him Motrin" and sent him home. Instead of clarifying this upfront, I was met at the appointment by two nurses rather than the physician I had scheduled to see. Only then was I told I would have to bring my child in before the physician would speak with me. The interaction with one nurse in particular, Brittney, was especially unprofessional. Her dismissive comment--asking if I had "ever been able to see a pediatrician without bringing the kids"--was condescending and unnecessary. Clear communication at scheduling would have avoided this situation entirely. As a physician myself, I know that one callous interaction can undermine an entire practice. This encounter left me questioning the culture of respect and professionalism at this office.

I have always taken my both of my kids to the Pediatric Clinic since they were born (exactly 4…read moreyears now) and I have always experience a very caring staff and family atmosphere. The Doctors and APRNs that have seen and treated my children have always known how to help them, especially when they have been sick. And the office manager is a fantastic person that has always been really quick to help me with any of my requests in a better than timely fashion. I will continue to take my kids to this clinic until they are no longer of age to see a pediatrician. =)

I took my son in KNOWING he was sick, as a mother of 3 for 11 years, I took my 7 year old in knowing he was sick, and the on call doctor said he wasn't. I told him, yes, he is sick, and I don't want to have to drive 30 min back in two days when Dr. Harwood gets back. Sure enough I had to take him back. Dr. Harwood assured me it wouldn't happen again and sure enough it did. As a single mother I cannot afford to take off several days of work b/c they simply can't diagnose children correctly. They just want money. I would never recommend this Dr. or his facility. We had the same pediatrician for 11 years back in my old state and never once had a problem. Not once. I LOVED them, if only there were more pediatricians and nurses that cared like they did. I explained to her that it was a quick med check and no tests were run and the clinics contract and my copay should have completely covered the visit with Tricare. My child and myself heard her talking very loudly and being rude. The waiting room was full and everyone heard her complaining. Customer service is not one of her strong work ethics. Hopefully something is don't about her. I left a message on her supervisors answering machine. I hope no one treats her the way she treated us. RUDE!
