That is not to say that the selection and service in here is in anyway not top drawer. Well, top drawer is maybe a bit of a stretch. The store is always clean and tidy, the staff are always friendly and helpful and you can usually find everything you need in here if you are popping in for a pint or milk or a loaf of bread. There is good parking here and an ATM which is always handy. It is also in a good location, with excellent access to the Belfast and Newtownards roads. There is certainly no real reason not to call in here. You won't be able to do a full weeks shop in here, you will need to go to Tesco or whatever for that but you certainly will be able to get plenty of what you need in this wee shop.

This express store offers liquors, snack cakes and sundry. Locals shop here, but to an American it would probably seem small for a supermarket. The lines aren't too long, and I run in for the odd pack of gum or sweets. The prices are competitive, and they offer teas and coffee vended drinks.

Although the prices are the same as their bigger versions, the selection is poor. Even though this is supposed to be the 'essentials', the shelves are often empty and the security man at the door makes you feel like you are shoplifting even though you aren't. Chances are what you want isn't in this shop. It's a mish mash of bits and pieces, but it simply isn't good enough. I'd recommend walking a little further, or driving on down to the Lisburn Road shop and get what you need from there. Disappointing and painfully small

And snacks galore! Any junk food you had a taste for, and new ones to try, you could get it here. The store is bright and the aisle were wide. They didn't have my favorite Volcanic Unflavored Water here, but they had many other items to try.

This wee convenience store has it all and serves local office workers to perfection. Whether you're looking for a pastry of a paper Today's Express will stock it. Food wise you can also get sandwiches and other breakfast goods. A bacon bap is only £1.20. The staff are great, you always get a wee bit of early morning banter out of them to kick start your day. An awesome wee shop with absolutely no faults - centrally located and serving food from £1 - what's not to like?

There is a good selection of Magazines and local papers, and the usual variety of sweets and drinks for kids to get their sugar fix. Now for the harshness. The place initially had the National Lottery and Paypoint, which made it a very handy port of call. It now has neither of those as it never had the customer numbers to fully sustain them, which has lead to low numbers decreasing even further. I don't ever go in here anymore unless it's for something so basic, as it usually doesn't have anything you want, with me unable to get real butter, cream and brown bread on separate occasions. Hardly demanding! Just keep on driving past Yelpers!

The shop itself is busy enough, considering it's right beside Tesco (see my Tesco Dunmurry review). Some people probably can't be bothered parking around the back of Tesco if they've only to get one or two items, and probably just take a run in here. It's also on the left hand side if you're travelling from Belfast to Lisburn, so I think it gets quite busy after 5p.m. with commuters on their way home. Apart from petrol, the main attraction of these garages is that they almost all have ATMs, which is very convenient. This feature alone ensures that these garages all do well.

I have found that the produce is mostly local and the freshness of it is first class. There is a butchery department in store and the meat is off excellent quality. There is a small sub post office on the premises which operates 09.00-17.00 Monday to Friday. It is possible to do your weekly shop in this store as I have observed some people do and the amazing thing is that the prices compete with the larger supermarkets! I am all for supporting our local stores especially when you can buy such good quality produce.

This was…read morethe first time I had been in this relatively new branch of Nisa and I was shocked at what it had to offer. Firstly the store is deceptively big and you could easily complete your weekly shop here. They have a huge cold drink and snack selection and they also have an off license at the back of the store. The selection of alcohol isn't amazing but they have all the usual suspects. One thing to note is that there's a minimum spend if you ant to use your debit or credit card. This happened to me but rather than pick up unwanted items to make your purchase up to £5 you can use the in store ATM. There's a whole load of bargains in this Nisa so you'll more than likely come out of the shop with items you didn't intend on buying.
