The Center for Creative Education uses the Arts to enrich
and transform a child's educational experience.
We bring learning to life by engaging children in hands on, multi-dimensional learning. We use visual, performing and language arts to enhance student's knowledge of traditional subjects. So painting, music and dance are used to increase mastery of literacy, math and science. It's creative and it works!
History
Established in 1992.
In 1992, an assessment of education activities in Palm Beach County was commissioned by the Palm Beach County Cultural Council, the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, and the Chastain Charitable Foundation. The resulting report, along with a coalition of community, cultural and education advisory board members, established CCE in 1994 with the goal of improving students' educational experience.
Through its two main programs, Project LEAP and CADRE, CCE reaches schools serving disadvantaged communities to help them improve their educational performance, improve parent and community involvement in the educational process, and promote systemic change in their approach to education.
