I was later diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer that had spread to my lymph nodes. After reviewing my medical history, I was left with serious questions and concerns about whether suspicious characteristics present in my earlier thyroid imaging should have resulted in additional evaluation or biopsy sooner. I also experienced significant problems with continuity of care at the practice. I later discovered that there were two separate patient records under my name, and I had difficulty obtaining a followup appointment (with phone logs to prove I called to make the appointment and was not allowed). I was ultimately terminated as a patient while I was hospitalized for surgery related to my thyroid cancer. Paula Gorman call me while I was in the hospital after surgery for cancer, which they are part of the care team for. I was alone in pain and on medication and incredibly vulnerable situation and this woman thought this was the best time to call that she was releasing me from the practice. Absolutely zero compassion from this woman or this facility. This experience had a profound impact on my life and required additional treatment and surgery. I am currently pursuing formal complaints so that the appropriate agencies can review the facts and medical records independently. This review reflects my personal experience and my concerns based on my own medical records and treatment history.I encourage anyone seeking thyroid care to review their imaging, ask questions, and seek additional opinions when they have concerns.

I was sent here by a company called LHI, a company that is contracted through the VA (Veteran's Affairs) to send Veteran's "out in town" to see a non VA doctor for certain exams, if a VA provider is not available. Ok so, my appointment was scheduled for 11:45 am, which is the time that Hamburg Primary Care chose! I called them at 11:40 to say I'd be 5 min late. They said ok, that's fine. I checked in at 11:48, 3 min late. A nurse did not see me to take my vitals til 12:08, 20 min later which is already annoying. She took me to the room where I would see the doctor and said so and so will be in shortly. Ya know, the usual. I was not seen by the doctor til 12:37!! I had SO much time sitting in that room, I began to look around. The room was what I would call filthy! I mean maybe that's an exaggeration (see pics), but it's a doctor's office!! There were large dust bunnies on the floor and trim. Side note- I am severely allergic to dust mites, believe it or not. I've been tested and I start to sneeze a lot when I'm around too much dust/dirt. It also bothers my throat. You don't expect to walk into a dirty patient doctor room at a doctor's office. There were also fair amounts of chunks of dirt in various places on the floor. It looked like the floor hadn't been swept in awhile. Too long for any standards, but def too long for a doctor's office. There was also a film of dust on the edge of the counter top as shown in pics. The top of the Biohazard bin had a film of dust on it as well. They just need to clean! The doctor was very pleasant and apologized for the wait. I was polite and did not complain about how long I waited. I just wanted to do my exam and leave as I had other plans for my day after this appointment. Based on having to wait almost 1 hour to be seen and the gross state of the room, I would not recommend this establishment and will never go back. Also, I had to drive 50 minutes each way to be seen here! Luckily we're getting paid for travel.

As it was late evening, some medication was administered on site, along with scripts which would be sent to my pharmacy upon opening the following day. The only reason that this was a 4-star review instead of 5, is due to the wait time prior to being seen.

After it was completed he said there was a spot that could be possible pneumonia and he needed to review it with the radiologist and would call me later that day to let me know. I mentioned twice to him my daughter had walking pneumonia and the symptoms were pretty similar. The Pa said just have her hydrate and rest and he would call me later. I never heard back from him. Monday morning my daughter's pediatrician office called to ask how she was doing because they saw the report. I said she wasn't and they had her come in. After listening to her lungs and looking at the xray report she diagnosed her with walking pneumonia and gave her an antibiotic. I've called three times to speak to a clinic manager and had to leave messages because she seems to be off most days. That my daughter had to be sick for 2 extra days because there was no through makes me extremely unhappy.
