I don't understand why it is someone else's business as to who is on Section 8 and who is not. If you are not on this program or any others like it stop worrying about who is on it. It's not your business. I have personally lived at this community under the current manager. if people would take the time to get to know their manager they will see that Cherie is very professional. She is not there to make friends with you or your neighbors. She is there to do a job. If she were to make friends with every person that walks through her door she would not be able to do her job effectively. If you have an issue or a problem she has the knowledge to take care of it and solve it. She is very versed in Property Management and knows and does her job very well. I have never had issues with her. She's always handled every maintenance issue I had in a positive and professional manner. Her maintenance staff are on point. She runs a very tight ship which is why she is very good at her job. Cherie hires very competent assistants and trains them very well. Their job is not to make you like them but to help insure that the business of the community runs smoothly. This assistant is the front person. He or she will be the one that greets you when you come in the door and tries to assist you in any way they can. During my tenure at this community I was always treated with respect. But the key here was that I gave respect and got it in return. With the way these other two posters have written out their review I would have to question if they even knew the definition of respect. If you are looking for a nice place to live at competitive rates with a community that has professional and courteous management staff and maintenance then Lakewood Terrace would be the place for you. If you are looking for a nice place to live but feel that you are privileged above everyone else or if you are the type that brings in a ghetto attitude or someone who keeps their home looking like a city dump you will not be happy here. Cherie, the manager, has successfully and effectively ran this community for almost 20 years. I'm sure she will continue to do so.

I have sent emails to them for over a year regarding dog waste everywhere even on balconies, dirty walls and hallways, frequent elevator breakdowns, and marijuana smells all the time. When I complained about the marijuana smoking in apartments, even though not allowed, I was told to call the police. I have extreme asthma, so it has gotten progressively worse since moving here. I've asked numerous times to be let out of my lease with no response. I'd love a lawyer or tv station to respond so we can get the help we need.

I had a terrible experience living at this apartment complex and would strongly advise others to…read morelook elsewhere. During my time there, a golf ball actually came through the glass of my car, causing damage. When I reported it, nothing meaningful was done. I also moved into a unit where the sink was already broken, which set the tone for the level of maintenance and care the property provides. The apartment itself had multiple issues. The air vent above the shower blows directly on you, making showers uncomfortable, and the front door never sealed properly, letting outside air and noise in. There were also ongoing issues with other residents. People at the pool were frequently disrespectful, and at one point a man looked through my third-floor window when the blinds were barely open, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. When it came time to move out, management charged me for a "prorated carpet replacement." They explained it once and then completely ignored every follow-up email I sent asking for clarification. Communication with management and the property owner was consistently poor -- they were rude, dismissive, and unwilling to address concerns. Overall, this place was poorly managed, unresponsive, and frustrating to deal with. I would not recommend living here.

He is constantly trying to charge tenants for things that are the company's responsibility such as parking lot repairs. The bookkeeping is always incorrect. On more than one occasion they have tried to charge us twice for rent. Repairs are minimal. I have been in my current unit for 8 months and the issues that I requested to be repaired on the move in report still have not been addressed. We had to switch units due to black mold infestation, he then tried to charge me for these repairs. WHAT A HORRIBLE PLACE!!! YOU DO NOT WANT TO LIVE HERE.
