I had a few windows in my home that needed sealed units replaced and decided to give Centennial Glass a try. From the start the process was very straightforward. I brought in the measurements, and the staff walked me through everything, explained the difference between standard and argon-filled units, and helped me choose what made sense for my home. They placed the order and told me what to expect for turnaround time. When the units came in, they called me right away to book the install. The installer showed up on time, carefully removed the old failed units from the frames, cleaned everything up, seated the new sealed units properly, and made sure the glazing was done neatly before leaving. No mess left behind. The windows look great and you can already feel the difference with drafts being gone. Very happy with the whole experience from start to finish. Thumbs downs for Centennial Glass! The "experts" will push their inaccurate measurements. The company offers "custom" glass/mirror" fabrication but then tell you no...they don't do that... when discussing that you need exact measurements, customer service will ignore the customer questioning them regarding their lack of custom service. It seems that a lot of business are now providing inferior customer service. Centennial Glass is definitely on that list. read more

They helped me to cut a custom sized piece of glass to use in our RV when the original got shattered during a rain storm. Whole process was nice and easy, and they waited for me on a Saturday while I drove from Petawawa to Ottawa to get the new glass cut the same day before the following storm hit. read more

My wife and I purchased a duplex and began converting it into a triplex in 2016. We have been extremely hands-on during the process. Like with most renovations, there's ups and downs with delays and mistakes. I can say that Centennial was one of the few aspects of our projects that we had absolute perfection. For our initial basement 1 bedroom bath we did floor to ceiling glass. I contacted Centennial on the phone & email and dealt with Peter who was extremely knowledgeable. Centennials initial quote easily beat 2 other Ottawa glass companies. They showed up on time and their work was impeccable (grey marble bath pictured). When it came time to Reno another apt, we used them again and they delivered: on time and perfection (black & White bath pictured). The cuts and even the caulking work was unreal! I rarely put a negative review for a small business. This one is unfortunately deserved it. I requested 3 mm thickness for my kitchen cabinet doors. One piece out of 11 was 5 mm instead. I brought the piece back and they disowned their mistake. They stated that they never stock 5 mm and I am, therefore, lying by bringing a piece as if it was theirs. They say once you leave, the piece is yours. You should have verified dimensions before leaving. It is a dishonest practice because, verifying thickness is a bit trickier for average people than width and height. Second, they had a record of my entire order. Every other piece I got from them was 3 mm. Third, cutting glass with square edges and polishing the edge is not something that one can do at home. It is done by professionals and they should be held accountable when mistakes are made not to deny / assume customer is lying. Unfortunately, this implausible denial of their mistake was as disappointing as insulting. This business has issues as far as I encountered. read more

I needed a mirror cut basically to refresh its old look and also a new oval one to be cut and installed in an antique frame. Centennial Glass offered the same price as their major competitor, but with a service that exceeded my expectations. They felt that since their cutting of the existing mirror showed signs of wear and tear on the sides where they did cut (I could hardly see it and would have been satisfied with their job as is) but nevertheless they offered me a new mirror in the same dimensions at no extra cost! This is going beyond the call of duty. I used this company a few years ago and could remember vaguely that I had received very good service, this re-confirmed that my memory had not failed me and I now know that in the future this will be my first and only stop for all my glass needs! read more

Totally disappointed in their customer relationship. I went to buy some hardware for my sliding door and wanted advice on windows etc. The person I spoke to treated me rather perfunctorily when I asked about types and costs of windows and shower enclosures. He seemed bored. Was it because it is a woman asking about hardware ? I don't know. But he enthusiastically talked at length to a couple who came in after me so I watched and listened to his explanations for a while then left. I am having my bathroom redone and won't get my windows here. read more

Very poor workmanship on the glass. They provided the glass for a very large project. Several edges have very rough ugly finishes, and Centennial is unwilling to fix the problem. Their customer service is equally poor. They have simply dismissed the problem and refuse to reply. This was part of a very large project and unfortunately this is a black mark in the house. Dealt with Davin, Claude and Megan. They all provided excellent customer service. I was selling my house and looking to replace some cracked window panes in my 100-year old home. Megan accommodated my schedule to the best of her ability, and Davin and Claude installed them with professionalism and courtesy. Terrible! Nature of the complaint: 1. Wrongfully completed purchase order. We have ordered a vertical type of the edge of the mirror. However, a representative entered wrong information, she entered a "Bevel Strip" as a type of the edge as oppose to a 90 degree angle. We did not notice the mistake until we received the mirror. By then it was way too late to argue, as the mirror had already been made. 2. Packaging of the mirror. It was wrapped in a one layer of paper. Edges were not protected. 3. Condition of the mirror. Upon unwrapping of the mirror we have discovered that one of the edges was dented. When we called the company and informed a manager about it, he did not even apologize but implied that is was our fault and told us to bring the mirror back ( the distance from our house to the shop is about 15 km one way). When we arrived, instead of apologies we have been given quite an attitude. The manager went extremely defensive, making us feeling very uncomfortable. 4. Conflict resolution. No conflict resolution has been offered. The manager kept being very defensive and sarcastic, mocking our accent (we are not native English speakers), which made us very uncomfortable. The manager refused to even estimate what refund we would get back. We have been refunded only 50 % of the price we had paid. The mirror was returned to the company. 5. Customer service. Totally inappropriate. The front staff is very incompetent, does not have any knowledge of products. Tom (the employee or the owner) does not possess any customer service skills whatsoever. When he was asked questions related to the installation of the mirror, his face clearly showed that he was annoyed with our questions; and the manner he responded to the questions was like we were mentally challenged. And again, mocking our accent was really unbelievably strange, given we live in Canada. Vadim. read more
