I walked in and Ryan, middle seat, said hey and we got to work on the hair. He talked everything out, he didn't ignore me or do his own thing. He communicated all the way through about what I was looking for and how he planned to get there. Great conversation and when we got to the end, he asked for my opinion and if there was anything I wanted to change. I asked him questions about what I saw and he always said he could do anything I wanted, but why if he did this my hair would look like that. He explained how my hair laid and if he did certain things it could make my hair look goofy on the back or making a change on the side could change how the topped look. He didn't make me feel bad about my questions, he was just honest about what could happen. He gave me a clean cut and my hair looks great compared to how I stepped through the door. I got caught by the marketing and convinced my partner to go in for a haircut. We went in for a…read morewalk-in and the barber with long hair took him (Hernandez maybe). My partner had me tell him what I thought would look good and I asked that they not cut all the texture out of his hair, it was several inches long in most places and had some nice curls. I also asked for it to be shorter around the ears and scissor cut on top, leaving as much length as possible. Well, that particular barber didn't hear a word I said and chopped my man's hair down to nothing. Barely leaving an inch on top of his head and basically using a number 2 up past the crown. He left him with white marks and hair all over him, and completely ignored the fact that I asked to have his beard trimmed too. He spent the entire cut staring at everyone and everything in the room except what he was being paid to do. So disappointed. Don't trust the marketing. I could have done a better fade on him myself at home. My partner was upset, but he's not someone to complain about a service. I was ready for a fight, he had to make me leave the shop I was so angry. It's going to take 6 months for his hair to grow out that much again.
