My whole heart was bursting at Cemitério dos Prazeres.
If you know me, you know I love cemeteries and cats, and photographing cemeteries and cats. (You're welcome to see more of my photographs over on Instagram at AvA_After_Life.)
Prazeres translates to Pleasures in Portuguese, and although I know the name is derived from a 16th century estate that once existed here, the real pleasure is in all the kitties that call the cemetery home. I came prepared, with bags of kitty treats.
At thirty acres, Prazeres is huge and I spent a good amount of time making friends with and chatting up the cats. I need at least three more days there; five, if I'm going to keep talking to cats. read more
