I've been coming here ever since I can remember. Though this place is certainly a good drive away…read morefrom our neighborhood, it's been a great place for me to be able to be treated and receive check-ups. The doctors and nurses here have always been incredibly good to me, for whatever reason I find myself in their office. Just recently I visited because of a severely sore throat; fearing strep I gave a call and they were able to see me that afternoon. When I arrived, I'll admit I was a bit of an emotional wreck because of how awful I was feeling, but their services reassured me that I'd end up being alright. The doctor and nurse who aided me were incredibly nice and understanding, as well as accommodating. In the past I've come here when I broke my pinky finger, and after I'd sprained my ankle really bad, which they always recommend before being sent to the emergency room/immediate care (unless there's a legitimate emergency - like when I'd been hit by a car). Both those times the doctors had given me excellent advice to help me back on my feet in no time. I've also gotten flu shots, immunizations and basic check-ups; they basically provide you with everything you need here. This place has gone under a couple of renovations since I was small, but the offices are incredibly nice and very clean. It's easy to be comfortable here, which is ideal in a place you can find yourself starting to feel a little nervous. I would definitely suggest this office, especially families with small children.

Two parts to this review part 1 will be Covid Testing, part 2 will be experience as a patient:…read more 1. I had been exposed to someone who tested positive. So I tried looking around for testing sites at 2pm on a Thursday. These guys had an opening and helped me make an appointment. My ride didn't arrive on time, so I called them and they were able to reschedule me same day right before they closed. Testing site was super sterile and organized. Only down side is that it took 4 days to get my results. But over all a nice experience! 2. As my grandmother's care taker I took her to see her Dr. All the time at Neighborhood Heath Center. Upon walking in there are tons of posters at the check-in counter in multiple languages explaining that they have access to an interpreter if needed. As well as posters about financial or government assistance for those who need it. Nurses and receptionists are sweet hearts. Dr.B really listened to my grandmother about her health issues and concerns and helped her through them. Even at the pharmacy there were also posters for those who might need assistance affording prescriptions. Honestly the most welcoming and helpful Doctors offices I have EVER been to! (Only downside is that even with a scheduled appointment we had to wait an hour to be seen)

I have been a patient here for several years now. My doctor recently retired. When I called to make…read morean appointment they would not get me in. And then explain to her what was going on and that I needed the blood work done for my anemia and an x-ray for my throat right away, as I felt that I have a blockage in my throat. (Ended up having a blockage). I finally did give me the blood work but refuse the X-ray and instead sent me for an ultrasound of my throat, which being in the medical field for a long time I know that the other song will not show a blockage in the throat, the tech that did the ultrasound also said the same thing. Neighborhood health center in blaisdell vet told me to go to the ER at Mercy which I did, and they told me that I should not be being sent there when they can do the X-ray. This place is absolutely terrible, instead of calling the patient back and apologizing and trying to make good on this they send me a letter saying they were dismissing me from their practice. I am completely okay with that as I felt after my doctor left it was absolutely no care at all. They would not even give me my emergency meds. Like my EpiPen for bee stings and my rescue inhalers for my asthma. This is not proper care, if they don't like when someone gets upset with them then maybe they should make an appointment for them, active listen to what the patient is trying to tell them and get them the testing that needs to get done instead of sending them to the ER where the patient gets yelled at for going there. I would not recommend this place to anyone they need to get their act together! Not to mention when you have an appointment time you're sitting for at least 3 hours to be seen, even when you have a time.

Went to a new Dermatologist today and was lucky enough to find Youn Jea Kim NP at Western New York…read moreMedical. When entering the office it seems to be unusual in that it shares space with a day spa but in this case appearances are deceiving. The receptionist is pleasant and efficient, completing the entry of new patient information into the computer in just minutes. I was taken into the exam room on time, which is unusual for any medical practicioner, and it wasn't just to wait the doctor entered at the same time I did. Doctor Kim is a "no nonsense" practicioner but that doesn't mean she is uncaring or robotic. She is very pleasant and fully engaged during the visit, explaining what she was doing and the options available. At the end of the visit, she fully recapped what was discussed, what was decided and what the action plan was. Before exiting, she asked if I had any questions and when I did she took the time to provide the answers. If you need a Dermatologist, you could not find anyone better.

I personally don't like the idea of not knowing who I'm going to be seeing. I only found this out because I needed a prescription filled. My pharmacy sent over the request. I called two weeks later and was told their new policy was I needed to be seen before they would send it through. After questioning more they said they require you to come in every six months and I hadn't been seen since August, this was December. The best part is the new "supervising" physician who they would be billing under was only at their Harlem office and never comes to OP. Very poor practice. Tired of these medical conglomerates adding physicians to pad their bottom line and forgetting about quality patient care.
