I was made to believe by Mr. Lamont, as with all of the attorneys, that I had an excellent case. A contractor said he would do certain work, I paid him, and he simply did not do it, and walked with the money. The Lamont staff seemed pleasant, he seemed articulate, but I was made to believe by Mr. Lamont that the approach suggested by the other attorneys I had consulted, starting by sending "lawyer letters" to the party I was having trouble with, was a waste of money. Mr. Lamont was going to immediately serve the other party with papers so he would have no time to cover his tracks, so to speak. This approach would be more costly initially, I was told, but far more effective. I beleived him and retained his services. Two years later or so, the other party had successfully hired several lawyers who easily deflected and deferred any sort of settlement. Finally, it appeared to be time to go to court, or arbitration. At this point, Mr . Lamont made it clear that my chances of proving damages at any level were poor, that I would have to hire experts at a great cost, and likely would not get much of a settlement. He told me that all of my costs would essentially cost as much as I was likely to collect or more. I asked if my chances of collecting ANY money beyond costs had been just as clear at the outset, BEFORE he had collected his retainer and more several times. When pressed , he said that this outcome was indeed predictable. So I asked why he did not make this clear at the outset, and he offered that many people do not go into these lawsuits for money, but more to make their point, for the sake of principle. I asked if he had inquired of me at the outset if my goal was to reclaim money that had been taken for services not provided , or to make a point out of principle. No answer here. Of course, I had come to him to reclaim lost money, not to defend a principle. Based on information shared at this point, two years into the legal action, apparently no money to be reclaimed, I was forced to settle for enough money to make up what I had paid Mr. Lamont for two years of my wasted effort and time, plus less than 10% of my actual losses. AND for that privilege, I had to sign an agreement holding the other party harmless and stating that I could not so much as give the other party a negative online review for walking away with a LOT of money. So now others will be taken advantage of by the contractor involved, and I cannot help them. If you want to pay for an attorney and have a similar result, stay in a case for years, providing documentation, etc. only to be told your case is not worth the money you have lost, this would be the man to hire. If you want an honest assessment of your case up front, and to be told that perhaps your case will end up costing more than it is worth BEFORE you pay the attorney (him) for several years, Mr. Lamont, in my experience, might not be an excellent choice. I think he is smart, but I think that this disclosure up front would have been not only appropriate and even critical, but absolutely ethically warranted. And it did not happen.

And I can from personal experience stand by that testament. He has not only had charges reduced, but there time instances where they have been dropped. The justice system is not as just as it would like to see from the side of the state. As with any state entity there is much left to be desired and so when one finds themselves in a position of needing assistance its important to find a firm that fights for YOU and Breslin and Breslin employs lawyers who care. Another huge selling point for me when I recommend this farm and specifically Kevin as legal defence for those who might find themselves in need it is the fact that he is not only a partner at the firm but also acts as a public defender in many different counties outside of his criminal defence work. He escalated conflict, padded legal bills with excessive and unnecessary communications, and showed no interest in resolution--only financial exploitation. His behavior was not rooted in advocacy, but in weaponizing the legal system to harm. What makes this more painful is that I am a military veteran and a former law enforcement officer--serving in the very town where this law firm is located. I have devoted my life to service, integrity, and protecting others. Years ago, I even assisted this firm during a devastating fire, when they needed help. Despite my sacrifice, they chose to come after me without conscience--motivated only by money and personal gain. It was not just unethical; it was deeply personal and inhumane. Helping push this unethical case were Christina Cilli and her brother, both of whom knew from the start they had no legal standing. Yet they persisted, throwing money at a meritless case out of pride and entitlement. In the end, all their spending got them far less than what they could have had through fairness--and it left their own daughter and son emotionally abandoned and lost in the process. She stood by me with integrity when it felt like the world was falling apart. If you want a strong, ethical, and genuinely compassionate attorney, I highly recommend Sharon Johnson. But if you value fairness, decency, or justice--stay far away from Mario Lomonaco and the firm of Laufer, Dalena, Jensen & Bradley. They betrayed not just legal ethics--but basic human decency. The reason I say this is because I had a speeding ticket and he contact me after I submitted for information. First thing he started off with is we can take care of that. It will cost you $375.00. I paid the money a letter was sent out to the court stating that he would be representing me in court. The office did a good job keeping me informed if a date got moved. At the time of hearing Mr. Zwaren showed up late by 25 minutes of the start time for court. By the time he got there the prosecutor had already went over different plea-bargains. He said "in order to have no points pay a higher fee of $390 and plea to careless driving." Surely enough by the time Mr. Zwaren gets there and because he was late we didn't have a time of consul and he tried to rush a 2 minute consul in there. When he was going over this with me would you believe the same thing the prosecutor said was the same thing that came out of his mouth. So not only were you late, you didn't call to notify me. I had to keep calling your office. This is beyond unprofessional, you charge me a fee to do something I could've done on my own. When I stated this to you, the look he gave me was like I know there was nothing I could do for you. The statement that he made to me was "if this was Fort Lee things would have been different." So I finally take a seat while he talks to prosecutor, after speaking with prosecutor he then turns around and says "did I mention that you also get out faster. By this time I really had to ask myself HOW THE HELL DOES THIS GUY HAVE ANY GOOD REVIEWS!!! Unless he is paying for them. Unprofessional, incompetent, tardiness, non-responsive, rip-off, con artist. If you decide to go to work with him now, it's just shame on you with all honesty. I wish someone would have warned me.
