After completing my X-rays and consultation with the dentist, I was then advised there was "no time" left for my cleaning. I expressed my concern because only part of the appointment was honored. I arrived 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment time, so the lack of fulfillment was extremely unprofessional and showed very little consideration for patients and their time.

Despite that, I was later billed for charges I never knowingly approved and never agreed to pay out of pocket. What made this worse was the lack of transparency. I repeatedly asked for clear documentation, itemized charges, and proof that I signed for certain services they later claimed I owed. Instead of properly resolving the dispute, the account was sent to collections and reported to the credit bureaus. I already paid significant amounts directly to the office, including payment for Invisalign by credit card, yet they still pursued additional disputed charges without properly explaining them. Patients should be very careful here and request everything in writing before agreeing to treatment. Make sure you fully understand what insurance covers and what they may later try to bill you for. Very stressful experience overall, especially the handling of billing and collections.

My initial visit went well- I provided my insurance information and was provided a treatment plan detailing my costs- perfect! I was informed I would need a deep cleaning- which would need to happen in 2 sessions. I went to my first appointment early december and paid the amount outlined in the treatment plan. Easy peasy. TWO weeks later, on the eve of my 2nd deep cleaning session (and less than 15 hours before my appointment)- I received an appointment confirmation call. At the end of the call the receptionist CASUALLY mentions something about my insurance not being in network anymore and how I would now need to pay $700+ out of pocket. Girl, how are you going to call someone and drop that bomb on them 5 days before christmas? Needless to say, I cancelled the appointment and emailed them to get a more detailed explanation. Except I never got one. Instead, I received the least professional response I've ever gotten (see attached). I do not blame fresh smiles for my insurance *seemingly nowhere within a 2 week time frame deciding their office was OON* however, i DO blame them for piss poor communication. So now i sit, dentistless with half my mouth cleaned. Please be warned that while this dentist office has some of THE sweetest hygienists, and a great atmosphere, the communication here is absolute garbage between patients and their front office. Please do better!

I have always had a great experience with their staff, their facility is beautiful and clean, but they blew me away even more with their attention to detail during this time. I received a text that when I arrive to stay in my car and text them that I am there, they then sent me a text asking me a couple questions about symptoms and contact with others and then told me they would text me when I should come to the door. During which they sent a link for a very cute video ! When it was time, I met them at the door and they took my temperature and then I was brought in to a private room for my check up. We chose Advanced Dentistry of Harleysville for convenience of location, provision of pediatric dental care, in-network insurance coverage, soonest new patient appointment, and reviews from other community members. I had contacted 3 other dental offices prior to making a decision. To say we had an incredible first experience is an understatement! My husband has some dental anxieties and had a wonderful experience with both the dental hygienist and dentist, Dr. Shah. His first appointment was scheduled for the next day which included X-rays and a thorough cleaning and examination. Everyone in the office is extremely friendly and honest without being pushy about services or "extras" that may not be needed. I went a week later with my toddler and had a wonderful experience as well. They were quick and great with my uncooperative toddler and did not mind him hanging out to wait for me to be done. My appointment felt very thorough as well and the staff, once again, was amazing. Dr. Shah laid out options for future dental work, but encouraged me to think about everything as it was not urgent. Not one person in the office was pushy with anything and explained each step and answered all questions. Wonderful experience with a very nice office and great staff. Highly recommend! My impression was this practice form the get go was set to get a prospective patient to agree to root canal before the appointment She did finally say well you coukd come in for just the evaluation and xrays butusually we do a root canal. I I had also asked for cost of an implant After checking with other practices I found this one was almost double most of the other practices I contacted. I did not make an appt with them and based on this interaction and the cost I would not recommend this practice. As far as are they good or not, this I don;t know but no dental practice, in my opinion should be saying what treatment they intended to do before they have even seen a patient

He took great care to make sure all work done was perfect, everything fit perfectly and my "smile" is the best it has ever been. I have always been apprehensive about going to the dentist, but not here. They always make sure you are comfortable. The technicians are very professional and explain the procedure being performed. The clerical staff and finance staff are ready with any help you may need with insurance, appointments, etc. They are all extremely efficient. Appointments are always on time. I love this place.
