Believed I was booking a horse farm tour and bourbon tour after requesting this and sending back an email stating I was looking forward to the tour, and never was told otherwise until the driver already had picked us up and told us no tours were booked for the day. Spoke to JB in the office who was rude and then told the driver, without my knowledge, to take my group home. After initialing refunding, I was told my credit card was charged again without my knowledge or consent. When I told the company this was not OK and they were not authorized to charge my card, this is part of the response JB/Thoroughbred Limo sent me: "Your comments tell me you are someone looking to scam an honest small business... No where on the website does it state Saturday's in May require a special fee on the website it specifies certain events such as derby, breeders cup, keeneland etc. There is not one of these events Occurring on my date or in the city of Lexington. As a bride I would not pick this service as my transportation. Here I am a month out from my wedding scrambling for something else. This company is unreliable and untruthful. The bathrooms are newly renovated and beautifully designed. I wish the showers had a door. Because of the open concept it makes the showers seem a bit cold. Hallway decor is dark/rustic - black around door frames, stained wood baseboards. Odd, but adequately lit. Room is also dark - black table, black ceiling, gray and light gray walls, cheap flooring but bathroom was white, clean, up to date. Instead of corner lamp, the main light source is a remote controlled LED light near ceiling - odd but it lit the bedroom well. Screws holding safety lock to door frame were loose so I used dead bolt. Bedding was clean. Large courtyard in the middle of the hotel had umbrella tables for relaxing, and a game or two. The gentleman's club across the road is a negative. Property is large and a little cumbersome to navigate. Indoor pool is on a separate wing. Pool and pool area is large with pool table and a few games so kids may enjoy. Breakfast is marginal. A few hot items (eggs and sausage) made it acceptable but little things missing (didn't find salt/pepper, only cereal milk is whole milk stored in gallon container by yogurt). Overall, I wouldn't bring my wife here. I felt all the black was hiding flaws and not my vibe. It's a cheap path for a family on a budget to experience a pool. I think other hotels in same price range offer a better experience.

There is a big selection of drinks (frappes, hot chocolates, coffee) -- and my frozen mocha was wonderful. There have a huge assortment of gourmet chocolate bars, pastries, and cakes. YUM. There's a play area for little toddlers, a huge back deck with brand-new furniture and plenty of well-shaded tables. The back yard would be a great event venue. Thanks, hope to be back soon!

We saw a flyer for the Inn posted on a board near a spot where we climb and decided to try it. We were not disappointed! The couple who own the Inn, Mai and Dustin, are very sweet, talented and welcoming. They've worked hard to create a beautiful space out of what looks like an old motel. The rooms were designed by Mai and are modern and spacious. I'm guessing the room used to be 2 motel rooms made into one suite. We stayed in the Paris room. It's quite large with a separate sitting area (where we put our gear), and a huge bathroom. The wood floors were convenient for when we came in dirty and didn't have to worry about keeping carpet clean. Also, there is a large screen tv with Roku and Sling TV so you can just click an app, put in your own password and watch what you want. The bed was comfortable and we took advantage of the jetted tub every night which felt amazing on tired feet. They also have organic soaps made by a local person that were wonderfully pleasant. And the room has a strong WiFi signal. When we arrived, Dustin and Mai greeted us with small chocolate candies. They were delicious. They live next to the Inn and are very attentive. In anticipation of breakfast, I told them about my food restrictions which they easily accommodated. Mai made the breakfasts, which were well done and generally were an egg dish, fresh fruit or yogurt with fruit, a pastry of your choice and a drink from the menu. We ate outside on the back deck (we could have also taken our food to our room) and sometimes chatted with other guests and customers. Everyone was friendly but not overly invasive. We also learned more about what Dustin and Mai have planned for the future for the Inn and it sounds very exciting. They're a lovely couple with great vision and the effort they put into their Inn shows. Oh one other thing... we casually mentioned on our second day that we were celebrating our anniversary. That evening Dustin and Mai unexpectedly popped by our room with the most delicious mousse cake. Such a sweet surprise! We had just eaten and thought we couldn't stomach anything else, but when we took our first bite we couldn't stop ourselves from devouring it. Seriously delicious!!

The grounds are beautiful and expansive, stretched out under a big beautiful sky. Parking is ample. I attended with my wife and my son and his wife. We came to see a friend perform live jazz. We did a wine tasting. I was disappointed that the tasting only consisted of three offerings. It seemed a little shy for the price point. After the tasting, we settled on Afterglow, a very sweet wine. The four of us enjoyed our purchase while we sat at a picnic table in the courtyard and enjoyed the jazz. The wine prices themselves were very reasonable and the selection was robust. This proved to be a great place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. We will be back. This place gets five stars from me. (Still wish a tasting was four or five offerings instead of three.)

The scenery, atmosphere, and overall property create a relaxing environment that feels very "Kentucky wine country." The staff was also incredibly friendly, welcoming, and wonderful with families and kids. The gift shop and tasting space itself functionally was not laid out in a way that made the experience especially easy or comfortable to enjoy. For those of you interested in tastings, there is nowhere comfortable to sit during the tasting process, unless you want to trade into plastic cups and head outside. This unintentionally created a rushed feeling, even though the staff themselves never pressured us. As for the wines, I tried the Cabernet Sauvignon, Equestrian Series, and Crimson Cabernet. I personally tend to lean towards drier, more robust wines, these felt fairly lackluster overall and lacked the depth and balance I personally look for in a wine that can either stand confidently on its own or pair beautifully with food. A few of the sweeter wines others in my group sampled came across far more grape-forward than expected and reminded me more of juice than a refined wine experience. (My overall impression was they paired more with $10 bottles than the prices that were asked) While the staff was clearly well-intentioned and friendly, the overall tasting experience lacked some of the seriousness, polish, and professionalism that you would expect from a true leader in the wine space. We had to request that glasses be emptied and cleaned between tastings, water was never offered between pours, and some of the finer details that elevate a winery experience simply felt overlooked. That said, this place has a lot of potential. Between the scenery, atmosphere, and welcoming team, I could absolutely see why Talon Winery would become a favorite spot for locals or visitors looking for a casual afternoon outing. However, for those looking for a polished, elevated "Napa-style" wine experience, this may not quite be the home run I had hoped it would be.
