It would be fascinating to see if those people give any tithe at all or is their money their's and they do what they want because it's not God's money. Anyways, I'm doing this review based as a person that has visited this church many times with a friend but this is not the church I regularly attend. I have been visiting this church for many years, since I was about 10 years old and now I'm 21. I used to absolutely love the children's ministries. They would do many fun group activities (splash town, corn maze, game nights) volunteer events (food banks, clean up different locations, giving food out) and camps. They have something for just about any age, including young adults ages 18-35. Which is awesome because not very many churches have things for college age population. The adult morning service is really good. The sound system and the band sounds AMAZING. I am a drummer so I have a hard time getting into music when I know something sounds off or someone is not playing the right music. They sound so good. The best part is that you can tell the people up there are really worshiping. There are a good amount of people that get out of the rows to join up at the front to worship. Hands raised and dancing are accepted and encouraged. Pastor Rick is great. He tells it like it is and is very entertaining. I have not heard a sermon from him that I have not enjoyed or questioned the theology of it. They also hold big events like concerts and men's and ladies' retreats. I had the pleasure of attending a Bethel concert last January... It was the best worship ever. Gets me all excited for Heaven. They have had many other big names in the Christian music world come and hold concerts here. If you live in the area or even if you don't, I encourage you to go and check it out. People are friendly, worship has meaning, and the message is applicable.

My intention in sharing this is to encourage open dialogue about these matters and ensure that…read moreindividuals are making informed decisions about their spiritual and personal well-being. I would like to bring to your attention an experience I recently had involving a church leader. I met an Apostle from a non-denominational church named Kevin Duhart. Recently, my niece was engaged this past Saturday in San Antonio, Texas. This was my first occasion to meet her boyfriend's family and members of The Rock Church, San Antonio, TX. I am concerned about Apostle Kevin Duhart's involvement in family matters, especially considering he has only known my niece for approximately six months. It appears that he has become engaged in issues that are personal and private, which I believe is inappropriate for someone in his position. It is important to remember that, according to biblical principles, an Apostle should respect personal boundaries and avoid interference in family dynamics without proper context or relationship. I am also concerned that this involvement may be influencing my niece's perception of her family, potentially leading to misunderstandings or disrespect. It is troubling to see a leader inserting himself into situations where his understanding is limited. Furthermore, I have observed some patterns in non-denominational churches where vulnerable individuals find themselves susceptible to external influences. I am concerned that my niece's recent changes may not be entirely positive. I question whether the teachings being promoted align with the core principles of the Bible, and I have concerns about how resources are being used within the church. It appears that some practices may resemble cult-like dynamics, which warrants careful consideration. I am curious as to the motivations behind a parent, attempting to cause division between a mother and her daughter. I acknowledge that my niece is currently stationed alone in San Antonio without family support due to her military service. However, it is inappropriate and unacceptable to overstep boundaries and assume the role of my niece's mother.Hope Williams, I find this behavior deeply concerning. I understand that you have male children, and perhaps your intentions stem from a desire for a daughter; nevertheless, insinuating that my niece should see you as her maternal figure is entirely inappropriate and uncalled for. Furthermore, involving my niece in activities that exclude her biological mother is inappropriate and raises questions about the values being modeled. Does this align with Biblical teachings? Hope Williams, how can you justify such actions? You present yourself as righteous and as a child of God, yet these actions seem contrary to those principles. Does the Bible support one woman influencing or molding another woman's daughter in this manner? I am concerned that this church may be fostering a cult-like environment. Regarding Apostle Kevin Duhart, I believe his actions are misguided. To publicly preach about family and love while engaging in actions that fracture a family is troubling. Shame on both of you, Apostle Kevin Duhart and Hope Williams. I trust that, in time, God will address these matters. As an Apostle and a mother, I pray that God will guide and correct these behaviors swiftly

One standout moment for me was working with their audio engineer. Thank goodness for him! I was able to get a direct audio feed that ensured Kayley's soft, heartfelt voice during the vows was perfectly preserved. This review is for The Fellowship Hiking Trails & Prayer Garden Park in the back, wooded area…read morebehind the church. I was searching for trails and parks one day and saw this in the area. I wanted to wait until the summer heat was OVER as I didn't want to get mosquitoes nor contend with the humidity while hiking. It was a pleasant mid-morning hike along the rocky, slightly damp soil path from last week's rain. The path is on a hill but you have to find your way maneuvering along a hill, watching for branches that are along the path and delineating the borders. Large rocks also guide you in some areas & weathered ground. There's a main sign showing the 1-mile path but you have to figure it out somewhat and follow the Scripture passages on posts. I THINK we went the right way and read all the passages?! There's a large, towering cross that can guide you back in case you veer off too far. There's construction going on nearby--probably a new development so straying away can't be too far off or you'll enter the construction area. The western side is a retaining rock wall that leads to a subdivision so you can't go further than that. It was nice and serene walking the path but there were tricky areas of cactus or stepping on a large stone so be careful and wear athletic shoes or hiking boots that can grip. The trail map shows 3 out of 5 "fish" as a visual for difficulty. Watch for the brush overhead and prepare to duck on some parts of the path esp. if you are tall. After finishing the trail, we saw an area with seats, a large chime that started to go off with a burst of wind which was refreshing and urns, cherubs, stream that hardly had any water, some large crosses(one wooden and one wrought iron) that is there for meditating, praying and possibly where they hold Good Friday or Easter Sunday services. There are benches scattered nearby as well. It's the perfect time of year to visit.

My family stopped going to church for a number of years due to a bad experience at a church and a whole lot of anxiety. Being raised in church, we wanted to try to start going again to raise our own kids in church. A relationship with the Lord has always been important in my life, regardless of how I feel about other human's actions. It is important to me to raise my children with the same foundation. With what I can only attribute to the Lord, we found Alamo Hills on yelp after a lot of prayer - almost going to another church even. And man, am I so thankful this was the church we were led to. Pastor Roy is awesome! His messages are relatable and relevant - holding you accountable for your actions without condemnation. So many churches I've been to fail to show the love of Jesus and model what a joyful life is meant to be like. You belong just as you are and we will thrive together in Christ. Bonus! Life groups just started! You have to give the church some grace. Being new, service is held in a bar (which has a super cool aesthetic, honestly) and you can hear the sweet sounds of 0-4 year olds during the service. To me, it's a sweet reminder of Gods faithfulness, having little ones in the presence of the Lord. All in all, this has been a completely different experience than we have ever had in a church, and I am totally here for it. Since attending, my husband even bought a devotional...I am just blown away. God is so good! Go to this church!!
