If a professional service business has good reviews it's because they did an amazing job so I can assure you to trust those reviews. Their website has a contact form which allows you to submit your request/concern after hours to have someone follow up and walk you through next steps. I was contacted by Jan who had been trying to reach me for over a week (due to me transposing a number for my cell phone) and she was so amazing at providing an overview of how the practice works and what to expect. She has a calming and empathetic way of handling clients and is a great Segway into what to expect after. Jan set an appointment with Matt about a week out who specializes in HOA issues (and had great reviews and feedback on the internet) so I was excited to get some expert feedback on what I should do. Matt called me on the dot for our scheduled appointment and immediately had a way of making me feel at ease -meaning I wasn't worried he was a shady attorney who will tell you anything to get you to put down a retainer. In fact, he did the opposite. He took the time to walk through each of my concerns, provided info on what I need to have on hand to build a case if I wanted, and also was able to reference Colorado laws. He also is the type to admit he might not be the expert in a certain field but could definitely find you one who was. Such an admirable trait to feel you weren't getting catfished :) Anyhow long story short, Matt took more time than allotted to answer my questions and make sure I had everything I needed to decide if I wanted to move forward with a case. He isn't pushy and felt like I was talking to a good friend who offered advice as the SME. Although I'm not sure what I'm doing with my case yet he provided me with more than enough info to help me understand how I can make a decision! I would highly recommend these guys if ever in need of a real estate matter and especially one that involves an HOA! They also do more but that is the reason I reached out! If he was smart, instead of paying for removal services, he should pay me! If you want to lose your house, business, and all of your money, this is the guy for you! Couldn't make it work with Chapter 13 (he had me on a payment pan at $7,000 a month!) so he took me to Chapter 7, I said no, that's here you lose your home. He said no, haven't lost one yet. Guess what? Now you have! Unless it's a case where you just file the basic paperwork, you DO NOT want this lawyer. In two years did I ever meet him? No. To answer back to the trustee I asked him to file certain motions. Did he file them? No. Did her ever plan ahead for scheduled hearings with the judge? No. He called me two hours before to ask what's new and brought nothing to the table. I had to listen to other cases with attorney's fighting for their clients. I yelled and said why don't you fight for me! Will he try to flip the script and make it your fault? Yes. He told me my case was complicated. Translation: I'll have to work and he won't do that. But please deposit more money. Will he tell the judge/trustee are all ready to move on from your case, that's it's over a nd nothing he can do? Yes. Is that true? No. My wife and I were so stressed that now we were just a few days from losing it all. I reached out for help from friends, when one suggested I call this other attorney they used. I did and she was a savior for us. She put the brakes on everything. Worked with the Judge/Trustee and put things in order. Thanks to her I sold my business instead of losing it. We're not wiped out, and most importantly she saved our home, where Serafin didn't give a shit and told us to turn it over. What a guy. I was also informed that there are others like me who were torched by this guy and are forming a lawsuit. I'll be joining that group and contact the Bar in hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else. I've worked with various lawyers in my life, but never have I run across a POS like him. Stay away and find someone who will work with you and actually care instead of this money grubbing so called attorney and his fake happy reviews.
